Tom, space, and a ‘wonder’-ful time

So worth the drive and the dollars! Especially the Tom Hanks narrated movie. Makes you FEEL excited about being on earth and in space!

Disappointed

Booking a tram experience was unimpressive. If you have a ticket, you should just line up, first come, first serve. All trams should go to all 4 stops. Disappointed. Kennedy space center was definitely more enjoyable.

A bit of trouble checking in

The people at the front didn't know how to admit me with the information I had. It took supervisors and 1/2 hour to finally make it in.

Magical place

Out of this world experience. Must do in Houston! Plan to spend most of the day here I can see how it would.be annoying with a lot of visitors on a busy day.. very hot when taking the tram.tours outside The campus tour was garbage, a complete waste of 35min The training facility tour was MUCH better. Also not sure why you have to pay for parking on top of hefty entry fee A must do in Houston regardless

Amazing Experience with the Mission Control Tour as the Highlight

Visiting the Space Center Houston was an amazing experience. The highlight was the tram tour to Mission Control where you can see the actual room used during the Gemini and Apollo missions including the moon landing by Apollo 11 in 1969. This tram tour is at an additional cost to a general admission ticket and needs to be booked in advance with a specific date and time. These tickets can sell out so book in advance. Other tram tours including to the Astronaut Training Facility and to Rocket Park are included with your general admission but operate on a 1st come, 1st serve basis so arrive early and join the queue. The main gallery of the Space Center is filled with many amazing items including spacecrafts on display in the Starship Gallery including the Apollo 17 Command Module, the Mercury 9 capsule and the Gemini 5 capsule. You can go inside a Skylab Trainer and the spacesuit collection displayed is terrific. Another highlight is on Independence Plaza in front of the main entrance to the Space Center where a replica of the Space Shuttle Independence is mounted on top of the original NASA 905 shuttle carrier aircraft. You are able to tour inside both of these crafts. You will need a minimum of 4 hours to tour the Space Center especially if including a tram tour to Mission Control but could easily spend the entire day here and should plan to do that if wanting to experience the other tram tours.

Very disappointed!

Very disappointed! Was hoping for some interactive experiences for the kids (8 & 9). They were bored very quickly(parents were too). Years ago, it was a fun place to visit but now I would not recommend!

Take all the specialty tours.

Purchased from home online for general admission and historic launchpad tour. Lots of interesting space exhibits. Went to one presentation on ISS stage that was silly. I had 2H which was more than enough before my tour to Mission Control. The tram was fine but I could not hear anything the tour guide was saying through the speaker on the tram. Mission Control was wonderful showing the landing of Apollo 11 and mans first walk on the moon. Original set up and TV newscast with Walter Conkrite. Well worth it. If I had it to do all over would stop at guest services on arrival and book every specialty tour.

Walk through history

It was like a walk through history, we spent all day and didn't run out of things to see or do.

Buy a Membership and save money!

What a terrific experience for our entire family! Particularly the tram tours, and especially the tour of Mission Control. Felt like I was reliving Apollo 13! A great value, and even better when I realized I could buy a membership and save money, and come back as often as I wanted for free!
