This was an amazing part of our vacation. Exactly what we wanted. A little relaxing break with beautiful views. While I have done some horseback riding in the past, I dont do it a lot and I felt the tour was just the right length.
Horses are amazingly trained. Felt more than comfortable. The whole trail is emersed with nature, and you also have some scenic views. 10/10
Thank you so much!!
It was a great experience. Emma was our guide. The horses were very nice and gentle. The views were exquisite, and the guide was knowledgeable and very sweet. It was an hour and a half the value of the money spent was worth it.
Thank you so much for your review!
I recently treated myself to a ride on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I would recommend you do the same. It’s a great way to see Lake Sonoma and get out in nature. Very relaxing.
Wonderful thank you and glad you had a good time!
We weren’t sure about the meet up spot at first. We went to the ranch and once we were there everything went great. We had Emma as our tour guide and she couldn’t be any sweeter. She was very nice and we enjoyed our horseback ride. I would recommend this experience. The views are amazing! The lake and mountains are so beautiful.
Thank you so much for your review!
A great experience. Very rustic setting and basic location but what do you really need for a horse ride? Great, friendly people who provide a fun experience with laidback professionalism. Our 2 guides were great, the boxed lunches were good (the bread was a little tough to bite through), and the family had a wonderful time on the very scenic trail ride.
Thank you for your review! Next time remember to get a softer bread! Haha
It was indeed a nice trail ride but it could’ve been more fun with a variety of gaits in different terrains. The meeting place was not specified so we just walked into the reception kinda area when two guides were arriving a little past the scheduled time. On contrary to the timeframe kept as 3-hour tour, it cut very short to just 2 hour including a hydration break. Staffs were overall friendly but no pictures were offered. I suppose it’s on the pricier side and no explanation about the surrounding areas (it’s on your own to look around). Only thing I absolutely enjoyed was the stunning overlooking view of the Sonoma lake and valley.
Hello, we are disappointed that you felt you did not have a stellar time! We always want everyone to feel they received the best ride ever when they come to the ranch. First of all your review (the one you booked) is for our 70-90 minute walking only tour. So your ride should have been a little over an hour as advertised, it sounded like it was even longer than it should have been. Also as advertised, this ride is a walking only ride, no variety of gaits as you wished. The terrain is very hilly, Rocky, and steep which is why we walk only on the tour. Again, these descriptions are available on our website and through TripAdvisor for the wine country tour. Every tour gets pictures, in fact there is a set location where we stop on every tour and take pictures. I will speak with your guide and see if there was some reason this did not happen for you. Again, if you want a longer tour with us there are other options on our website, hope to see you again soon!
We did the Wine Country Horseback Adventure that was fantastic and fun. This 1.5 hours trail riding did not seem long or dragging or exhausting or rush. Horses were gentle and well behaved. Our guide Emma was excellent, energetic, fun and friendly. The leading guide was also nice and patient taking pictures for each of us. Breathtaking views all along the trail. My best riding experience. Highly recommended.
Everything was great! The horses were sweet and gentle, the guide took great care of us, the scenery was spectacular, the dog Rosita was previous. We got caught in bad traffic and the group was able to wait 10 minutes so that we didn't miss it. Thank you for everything!
I had an absolutely wonderful time at The Ranch at Lake Sonoma! From start to finish I felt comfortable and confident in the guide, staff, and horses! We road through trails overlooking the lake and through a redwood forest which was stunning! I’d highly recommend for a group of solo traveler (like me)! I went out with another group of 4, some of who have never road before and everyone was happy and had a great time!
