Great guide , detailed information
Nice Walking tour around the city center (the churches and old town). Small group. Vasil gave lots of historical background. At the start, we had time to visit some churches together, while later he pointed out which places are good to visit independently of the tour to have time for a walk up in the old town. All in all, this was a nice tour and exactly what I needed.
Vasil took my family on an excellent walking tour of downtown Sofia. He knows the detailed history of the area very well. We visited the top attractions of historical significance while Vasil explained the history behind them. We had seven people in our group, which was great. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to learn some history of the area and see the historical sites. The fee is very reasonable for a high quality, 2-3 hour tour.
We were very disappointed by the end, the guide was really not great, and €40 wasted on that, no, it is really too expensive for what it is. Very little interest, we do not recommend it.
Hello, I am sorry that my tour did not leave up to your expectations. It is a little bit strange, since usually 99% of my guests are happy with it, but I guess different people may have different view points and opinions. Also, if you paid attention, you would have noticed that in fact I also tell some stories, which are rather less known and for sure you do not have them in the guide books. Kind regards Vasil
Learned a great amount of the history of Bulgaria and Sofia, of the important places historically in central Sofia and had the opportunity to ask my own questions. Thank you for the tour <3
This is an important tour to understand the history and various landmarks in Sofia. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable as well!
Felt extremely rushed. It's an OK tour
Vasil was an excellent communicator and obviously knew his stuff. This was my first time in Bulgaria, so I found the history he explained, starting 800 years before Christ, to be fascinating. He paced everything well and answered questions intelligently when asked. I would definitely recommend taking his tour.
This tour was the perfect introduction to Sofia! We took it on our first full day in the city and walked away with a much deeper understanding of Sofia’s history and layout, while also having visited some of its prime highlights—Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, St. Sofia Church, various monuments along the city center’s main promenade, the National Assembly building, etc. Vasil was incredibly informative, and the two-hour tour was the perfect balance of walking, going into certain sights (Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, for example), and learning about other sights that we could visit later during our stay (e.g., Sofia’s top museums and other historical religious buildings). I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants an informative, comfortable (and affordable) orientation to Sofia!
It didnt dilly dally around...show up...keep up! Lots of background info and interesting. Well worth it
