Excellent experience! Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and obviously passionate about everything we were seeing. Had the opportunity to see multiple vipers, frogs, toucans, a sloth, and many unique insects. Would definitely recommend!
This was awesome! Oscar was such a good guide, and a really nice person. He really seemed to love showing us all of the really interesting wildlife, and helped us get some really amazing photos along the way. He was really knowledgeable about the animals that we were seeing, and shared a lot of really interesting information about Costa Rica in the process. I really recommend him as a guide for any of your wildlife viewing dreams!!
In the afternoon we decided we wanted to do another night tour in Monteverde. This was quickly arranged via mail. We went out at 17:30 with our guide Oscar. Oscar is super enthusiastic, knows and talks a lot about nature and knows exactly where to find the animals. So we started just outside the park, because there was a group of monkeys hunting a turkey. We also saw a scorpion, snakes, insects, a sleeping hummingbird and a sleeping howler monkey with young monkey. The highlight was really the toucan! Oscar really captivated our two adolescents, they were also excited after this tour!
Awesome experience! We saw toucans, birds, frogs, all sorts of amazing insects. As well as ending the hike getting to spot a sleeping sloth. Our guide Frederic was so informative, patient, and was ready to answer any questions that we had.
Fantastic tour with the extremely knowledgeable guide Chris, who was eminent at spotting the animals and a really good narrator.
Great experience. Our guide Chris, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made our experience wonderful.
We had the 8:00 tour and it was great! Our guide Chris was super knowledgeable about everything at Monteverde. Would definitely recommend and do it again!!
This event met our expectations and we had a lot of fun along the way. Meeting before it got dark was a good way to get intros out of the way and gain our bearings and develop expectations, The small group vibe was inviting to quietly chat and share in discoveries along the guided tour. For a first time evening walk, this was the right length for us.
One of our favorite wildlife tours in Costa Rica! Christian (Chris) was an AMAZING guide - full of interesting knowledge and pointing out things we would have never seen on our own. In fact, he was often pointing other guides to animals that he spotted. My husband remarked that he could have spent an entire day with him just chatting and soaking up info about Costa Rica and its flora and fauna. Highly, highly recommend!
This tour was a true highlight of what was an incredible trip to Costa Rica. Oscar's enthusiasm about the cloud forest was infectious. He has a remarkably keen eye for spotting expertly camouflaged wildlife in the dark. Throughout the tour, he shared a wealth of knowledge about the cloud forest and its inhabitants. This tour was a wild sensory experience. Among other animals, we saw tree frogs, pit vipers, a tarantula, a salamander, a giant grasshopper and scorpions. Sturdy footwear is a must.
