From start to finish our experience was outstanding with Sustainable Wine Tours! Carlos, our guide and driver communicated with us before picking us up at our hotel. He made sure we were all comfortable as we toured 3 separate and very different wineries. Carlos shared information about the area and was knowledgeable and friendly. There were 2 other couples who joined us. We loved tasting the wine and learning about each place from either the winery owner him/herself or the spouse of the owner. We all enjoyed the fresh lunch provided as we sat outside together with a beautiful view of a vineyard. The entire experience was extremely enjoyable and very interesting as we learned some things from each of the winery's representatives. We also joined one of the wine clubs and purchase a few bottles to take home from another. This experience was the highlight of our first trip to Santa Barbara. I highly recommend it!
We had the best afternoon on our Sustainable Wine Tour. Karina was an energetic, engaging and knowledgeable wine tour guide. Our favorite part was the private experience and meeting with the winemakers themselves. Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back again in the future.
This was my second tour with this company, and they did not disappoint! From the booking to the drop-off at the end of the day, everything was smooth and effortless. Scott gave us the most amazing day. Beautiful locations, great wine, delicious lunch...and the attention to detail was unsurpassed! I would recommend Sustainable Wine Tours again and again!
This is a great tour for anyone who wants to learn about varietals and wine making techniques. We had a great day learning from expert wine makers, sampling wines, and visiting some beautiful properties (none of which you can book/visit individually).
What an incredible Santa Barbara winery tour! Scott with Sustainable Wine Tours, the owner, chauffeured our group around to 3 of the most beautiful, private vineyards in the area. Lunch under the most beautiful Oak tree with a framed view of the rolling vineyards was picture perfect. An absolute must when visiting Santa Barbara!
Scott was extremely knowledgeable about the area, wine in the region, etc, and gave us an incredible experience curated just for our enjoyment visiting wineries we would not have been able to otherwise visit.
Had an amazing time on this tour which really takes you behind the scenes with local small producers. Scott was a great guide and really engaged with us throughout the day. Instead of large producers and public tasting rooms we got to see inside small producers private estates and meet with the actual wine makers. The food all day was great and of high quality. Great touches like refillable water bottles all day. Can’t recommend this trip highly enough!
This tour was amazing and totally made our first time trip to Santa Barbara. Karina was personable and in minutes our group had bonded and were having fun. She was very knowable about the area- history- agriculture-wine-food and other things to do. I will definitly book this tour again on my next trip. Some of our group had done this tour before and she made sure that we visited new wineries for them so not a cookie cutter tour. Karina also drove us back a different way so we really got to see all of the beauty the area had to offer.
For a reasonable fee, three friends enjoyed a day-long visit to three small-to-medium wineries in the Santa Ynez Valley. Scott was an excellent guide. He spoke about the geography of the area and gave brief descriptions of the wineries. At each we received special attention. The picnic lunch provided was delicious. Worth a return trip.
We had an amazing time. Karina was the best! We can't wait to return to Santa Barbara and book another trip with her.
