We had a lovely morning here getting to see so many varieties of animals/birds in large and spacious enclosures. The Park was well maintained and large so you need a few hours if you want to see the whole place. I loved seeing the macaws the most and beautiful peacocks walking around along with the huge lizards chilling out on the pathways. I saw a person petting one of the large lizards and it was loving it, but I dont think its actually allowed to do. Some animals we didnt see I think certain parts of the day some are sleeping or more hidden but otherwise I found it enjoyable.
The place is an awesome spot!! From the moment you enter, the macaws welcome you!! For all the animals we saw, you can see the effort of the rescue center that cares for them and gives them a better quality of life than many places where their fate would have been different. The staff is attentive to help you, advise you, and guide you in whatever you need. And the restaurant is delicious!! Thanks to the rescue center for the work you all do every day!! Great Kivu
An up close and personal visit with some of nature's great creatures: jaguars, ocelots, pumas, toucans, parrots, owls, monkeys, capybaras, lizards... the list goes on. A few hours in their company reminded me that nature is miraculous and our job as humans is to put down our phones and notice. These birds and animals cannot survive in the wild - for various reasons. Rescate Wildlife Rescue Centre nurses them back to health and gives them safety, love and security. It was a privilege to observe this facility at work. Five stars.
A nice place, very family-friendly and quiet, where you learn a lot
A nice experience to see different wild animals and create consciousness about having wild animals in your house or what to do if you see a baby without its mom.
We had an odd time gap to fill in our schedule before an early morning flight out of San Jose, so the day before we decided to tour this sanctuary. We did a self-guided tour and the signs were very descriptive. You could see how much love and care went into creating spaces conducive to housing these rescue animals. The space was easy to navigate, we probably spent almost 2 hours there. Highly recommend this tour as it is well run with the best interests of the animals at heart.
The best way to learn and protect nature!!!!! Lets support them always !!! Amazing experience for everyone !!!
I would give 10 stars if I could. We did the English tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The animal enclosures were phenomenal; they do a lot of good work there. And the restaurant had great food. Highly recommend! Plan on spending 3-4 hours - so much to see. Lots of hiking, but stroller friendly.
We had time to fill before a flight home and came here as had been following on instagram. It was amazing, exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the vibe, seeing so many animals and reading their stories. Fully support the policy of rescue and release if possible. Lots of free roaming animals and well looked after. Had a lovely lunch in the cafe too, highly recommend going.
I visited with my family in April, and we had a wonderful experience. First, I accidentally purchased tickets for the wrong date, completely my mistake, but the customer service was excellent. They responded quickly, adjusted my booking without any hassle, and sent the updated QR codes almost immediately, which I really appreciated. Once we arrived, we truly loved the place. Plenty of seating areas, which made it comfortable to explore at our own pace. The animals all appeared to be very well cared for, and there was a great variety, which made the visit even more interesting and engaging. We were visiting with a baby, so we especially appreciated the many shaded spots and places to sit, since it got quite sunny during the day. It made a big difference in keeping everyone comfortable. The on site restaurant, Kivu, was also fantastic. We all ordered casados, and the quality was excellent. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely go back.
