That there are a lot of stairs to go up and down. That there are a lot of stairs to go up and down. That there are a lot of stairs to go up and down.
Fascinating and in my opinion much more authentic than the Beatles Experience at the Albert Dock. So many original artifacts. This is run by the Best family, whose matriarch Mo really gave the Beatles their start at the Casbah Coffee Club. Neil Aspinall and Mo Best accumulated a huge wealth of original items which are displayed here, such as the penknife confiscated from John Lennon after he carved his name at the Casbah. My favourite of all the exhibits has to be a pair of Jehn Lennons glasses. Combine this with a tour of the Casbah Coffee Club and you will see some invaluable Beatles history.
Thank you for taking time to review Fiona! We are more than delighted you enjoyed your visit.
This is a great deep dive into the Beatles history and we came away having learnt a hell of a lot. The only sour point in our visit was tghe place mat I bought in the shop. It cost £8 but when I went to the Liverpool Museum and Strawberry Fields it was on sale there for only £4. Be warned!
Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit!
The amount of material they have is incredible however be careful when you spend money in the souvenir shop as you can get the same items at half price in the Liverpool museum
This is a very good museum- 3 floors of exhibits with a good audio tour. It would be difficult for anyone that has trouble with stairs (I didn’t see a lift). My only complaint is they play the background music too loud. It can be a distraction when you’re trying to focus on the exhibits and listen to the audio.
Being a fan since 1965, this was an experience that no Beatles fan would want to miss. The history is overwhelming. The museum was organized chronologically and had so much to see. Don’t miss this.
Those who grew up to the sound of the Beatles will love to visit the museum. Walking through its entire history is to know one of the greatest bands ever. It's worth a visit, but don't rush, enjoy... The whole neighborhood pays tribute to them and this is very special, a unique area.
This was part of a long overdue visit to Liverpool. I travelled by myself so I could do exactly what I wanted - visit Mathew Street and walk down to the pier to see the statue. The Museum plays Beatle songs so you can hum along while you’re looking at the endless displays of memorabilia - it’s so much fun! I spent more time on the upper floors which covers their later years, and spent a lot of money in the gift shop (didn’t regret a cent!)
Thank you for your complimentary review. We are so pleased that the Liverpool Beatles Museum ticked all the boxes and then some!
A very warm welcome and a really interesting tour around the museum. So many amazing artefacts. A treasure trove of memorabilia and really interesting first-hand accounts.
Thank you for your review! Delighted you enjoyed your visit.
A good way to learn the Beatles history. Well worth it. Allow at least 90 mins to go through all floor.
