El pueblo del Penedo aún conserva algunas casas de rasgos antiguos, que le dan una imagen del pueblo típico. Situada en lo alto de una colina, permite a los visitantes caminar por sus calles y callejones empinados y sinuosos, con un paso obligatorio a través de la fuente, situada justo en el centro del pueblo, al igual que las capillas seculares.
Una docena de casas conforman este pequeño pueblo rural, hecho de paredes encaladas y pisos de piedra. Aldeia da Mata Pequena es un paraíso que invita al descanso y al contacto con la naturaleza a las puertas de Lisboa.

Joao is a great tour guide. He listened to our requests and tailored our trip to visit more remote, less touristy villages. He knows his way around Sintra and how to deal with the heavy volume of visitors in this area. (will go back in the off-season for 2 days at least.

Cesar was a warm-hearted, thoughtful and informative companion to a daylong tour of varied landscapes outside of Lisbon. The day offered a nice mix of off-the-beaten path stops with some of the more popular highlights. Do note that if you want to focus on beautiful but crowded Sintra, other tours would be best. We had an hour there but wished we had more. We had a lovely seafood lunch near Azentas (not included in tour price but reserved for us) although Cesar’s fave place to recommend is closed on Monday (as are many restaurants).

We booked this tour to celebrate our wedding anniversary but the weather wasn't very nice. Even though we could not visit every stop on the schedule due to closures or rain, our guide Pedro was able to save the day! We had such a fantastic time that we asked him to join us for lunch. He took us to a restaurant where the locals eat and we enjoyed the best Portuguese food ever We're still talking about it. We appreciate his kindness and going above and beyond to make our day truly remarkable. We will definitely take another tour with him.

We had this tour with Cesar and loved it !!! Visited incredible places that we would not get in anywhere else. Totally recommend !!! We enjoyed so much we booked another tour with Cesar next day. He is very helpful with tips from a native where to go, what to order, etc. We definitely will get back and will hire Cesar again. Azenhas do Mar and Aldeia Pequena are amazing places to visit where the crowds don’t go (yet). Obrigada César !!!
