Después de más de un siglo como lugar de vacaciones, Cascais tiene una cierta notoriedad de la que carecen los complejos más recientes. Su historia es visible en las villas a lo largo de la costa. La bahía de arena protegida fue una vez un puerto pesquero prehistórico.
Antes de avanzar hacia Cabo da Roca, puede dar un paseo por el centro histórico de Sintra. Este es un buen momento para descansar, almorzar y probar algunos pasteles regionales tradicionales. Cabo da Roca, el punto más occidental de Europa continental, es otro gran lugar para tomar algunas fotos y sentir la brisa marina.
Despegaremos de Lisboa por la mañana, dirigiéndonos directamente al Palacio de Pena, declarado Patrimonio de la UNESCO. El palacio romántico del siglo XIX es una maravilla para descubrir y que no olvidará pronto. Es uno de los mejores lugares para tomar fotos. Se encuentra en lo alto de la montaña con una espléndida vista que se extiende por kilómetros, hasta el océano. ( Monumento sugerido )
Daremos un paseo por el centro histórico de Sintra. Este es un buen momento para descansar, almorzar y probar algunos pasteles tradicionales de la región. ¡Disfrutarás de una hora de tiempo libre!
La impresionante Quinta da Regaleira es otro sitio declarado por la UNESCO que tiene edificios tallados antiguamente, jardines increíbles y una brisa gótica que encantará a cualquiera que se atreva a entrar. Lleno de historia detrás de ella, aprenderá todo sobre las cuevas, pozos secretos y arte que se originaron en la mampostería, los Templarios y la Cruz de Rosas. ( Monumento sugerido )
Esta magnífica propiedad es una selva de árboles exóticos y arbustos con flores. Su historia se remonta a la época de los moriscos, pero recibió su nombre de una pequeña capilla del siglo XVI dedicada a Nuestra Señora de Monteserrat, de Cataluña, España. ( Monumento sugerido )
En el corazón del pueblo de Sintra, un par de chimeneas cónicas inusuales se elevan sobre el Palacio Real. Este palacio se convirtió en el refugio de verano favorito de la corte y continuó, como residencia de la realeza portuguesa, hasta la década de 1980. La reconstrucción gradual del palacio resultó en una fascinante amalgama de estilos. ( Monumento sugerido )

We had the tour with Ana, and she was amazing! We loved that she was so knowledgeable and explained the history briefly. When you ask follow up questions, she will get into more details about what you are seeing. She was friendly and a delight to spend the day with. I couldn’t envision a better tour guide.
My friend and I just did the half day tour with Filipe and he was the best! He shared a lot of history about everywhere we passed by and was very sweet. Our half day tour turned into a full day tour as he made sure we took our time and visited everything we had planned. We were very lucky he was able to escort us on most stops and personally guide us through and share a lot of great info. He was able to take many photos of us and shared via whatsapp which was so nice. He was even able to add a quick stop for is to Pasteis de Belem just so I could a few up and bring back with us. Highly recommend this experience if you want to be taken care of and could not be more happy Filipe was our guide.

This was a great tour. Although expensive, it was good value for the cost. Our tour guide Ana picked us up, dropped us off at two separate places to explore, and then accompanied us thru the Pena Palace. We were able to skip the line, as promised. Ana was so nice, drove expertly, and helped to make it a great day. She even recommended a beach to us that we went to the next day, and loved. We didn’t have a lot of time in Lisbon, so this quick tour made sense for us to be able to see Pena Palace. The traffic/parking situation in Sintra seemed really challenging and we didn’t have to deal with any of it. Ana took care of everything …. And she made it look easy. That’s why I think the tour was worth the cost.

We had an amazing day touring Pena Palace, Cascais and Lisboa! Our guide was phenomenal! He was patient with the kids and seniors in our group and incredibly knowledgeable about everything. Would highly recommend for a small group!

Our half day tour was excellent! Nuno was kind, knowledgeable, and flexible. We made a couple stops en route to Sintra and then had a lovely visit at the Pena Palace, with the ability to skip lines being quite a privilege. Overall, it is everything we hoped it would be. Thank you, Nuno!
