What a wonderful experience! We booked our 5 day fly in safari with Safari Soles for June 2026, and it's a trip our family will be talking about for years to come. From the moment we landed at Kilimanjaro Airport, everything was well planned and executed (Thank you to Happiness George, our travel consultant!!). Our safari guide, IDRISS picked up our family of four and immediately made an impression as a guide who was both incredibly professional and genuinely warm and friendly. He made us feel comfortable, and our children (ages 9 and 11) especially appreciated his easygoing communication style and sense of humor. They had an amazing time asking questions, learning about the Serengeti, and hearing his stories and insights throughout the trip. One of the things that stood out most was how thoughtful Idriss was with our kids. He took the time to ask each of them about their favorite animals and what they were most excited to see. Throughout the safari, his incredible knowledge, sharp eyesight, and expert navigation consistently put us in the best locations for unforgettable wildlife sightings. Watching our children's excitement as they spotted each animal on their wish lists was something you could tell Idriss was fired up about. By the end of our adventure, every box had been checked, and we had learned so much about the wildlife, landscape, and culture along the way. The accommodations, organization, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. Every day brought something new and memorable, and we always felt safe, well cared for, and completely blown away by the beauty of Tanzania. We truly enjoyed the time we spent with Safari Soles and cannot recommend Idriss highly enough. His patience, enthusiasm, and passion for what he does made this a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all of us. We've already started talking about when we can come back!

Well-organized 8-day Safari by Patrick with a fantastic guide, Calvin. The journey, excursions, accommodations, and meals were perfect. Our guide Calvin speaks impeccable French, which allowed us to fully appreciate the experience. He was cautious, very attentive to our needs and requests. He provided us with a lot of explanations, and we constantly felt that he wanted the best for us in the search for animals and sites. Also, the Safari Jeep was immaculate and always clean and tidy thanks to Calvin. We highly recommend Safari Soles 100%.

Always attentive to our requests, he was able to adapt each day to our expectations with professionalism, patience, and good humor. His driving was impeccable, and we felt safe at all times. Our family has just returned from an unforgettable 12-night trip to Tanzania, including a six-night safari with Safari Soles, and there is one person who deserves enormous credit. Our guide, Dickson. Quite simply, he was outstanding. His wildlife knowledge, ability to read animal behaviour and knack for finding incredible sightings were remarkable. We saw leopards, cheetahs, tree-climbing lions and countless other unforgettable moments that our children will remember for the rest of their lives. He always seemed to know where to be and when. Just as importantly, Dickson was patient, kind and genuinely wonderful with our two boys. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, whether answering endless questions, stopping for another photograph or adjusting the day to suit our family. By the end of the safari, he felt more like part of the adventure than simply our guide. Safari Soles also planned an itinerary that was the right length for our family. Travelling from Orlando meant around 44 hours door-to-door each way, and looking back we are very glad we didn’t try to do a much longer safari. The only significant disappointment was one accommodation provider, Mbalageti. Three of our six safari nights were spent there and, in our opinion, it fell materially below the standard represented. That was frustrating because it formed such a large part of the safari. However, it is only fair to say that this was in stark contrast to the rest of the experience, and Safari Soles are currently discussing our concerns with the lodge. Despite that disappointment, our memories of Tanzania are overwhelmingly positive, largely because of Dickson. If we return, and we sincerely hope we do, we would specifically request him again without hesitation. Thank you, Dickson, for giving our family memories that will last a lifetime.

We had an incredible experience on our 8 day private safari thanks to our amazing guide, Freddy. Freddy’s knowledge of the animals, environment, ecosystem, and local culture was truly exceptional. From the very beginning, he made us feel welcome and comfortable, and he always answered our many curious questions with kindness and enthusiasm. Thanks to Freddy, our safari felt flexible, relaxing, and perfectly tailored to us. His expertise ensured that we were able to see all of the Big Five animals and so much more! My wife and I have just completed an incredible safari week with Freddy, we can’t recommend safari soles and Freddy in particular enough. From the moment we started, he went above and beyond to make sure everyday was perfect. Freddy’s knowledge of the wildlife and the areas were exceptional. We had wonderful experiences with safari soles. Our sales Ibrahim, who keeps communicating with us to make sure everything is smooth! Our safari with Simon was absolutely phenomenal. He truly made our trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We successfully spotted all of the Big Five, and an incredible variety of other animals every single day. The sightings were non-stop. The highlight was definitely Ngorongoro Crater, where Simon’s sharp eyes led us to an amazing sighting of 6 rhinos! He spotted animals from distances we could hardly believe. Simon is also a great photographer who took a lot of amazing pics for us. We will definitely be requesting him again on our next visit. Highly recommended!

If you are researching a safari company- I recommend you stop here and book Safari Soles as soon as possible. Though I had been on safari several times previously, this was my first time traveling with my young family. I did a tremendous amount of research before coming back with my husband and two sons (6, 9) and this trip far exceeded our expectations. I first wanted to ensure we were using and supporting a local company (Safari Soles is exclusively owned and run by Tanzanians), and then scoured reviews. I cannot imagine there is a better choice out there than Safari Soles. From the very beginning, Happiness, who organized our safari, was incredibly responsive, answered the 100s of questions I asked, and offered lots of expertise and advice when I suggested possibilities that she knew would not lead to the best experience. She was honest, prompt, patient and very knowledgeable. She was also able to help connect us with a local charity to support. Then there was Chief, who picked us up and spent a day guiding us in Arusha. He was so wonderfully kind and helpful. He made my children laugh, made us feel safe when driving around. He guided us through Shanga, then suggested some local shops when trying to find football jerseys and he also suggested and then took us around a local market which was an unforgettable experience and showed us an authentic taste of Tanzania. I could not recommend him more highly and suggest you ask for him if you are looking to spend some time in Arusha. The most incredible part of our trip however, was the opportunity to meet, learn from, and be guided by Simon “The Safari Monster.” By the end of the week he felt like a part of our family. His kindness, warmth, incredible knowledge and ability to answer every single question we had, his patience with our children and his ability to track and find animals for the most perfect up close experiences was beyond what we ever could have imagined. If you want a once in a lifetime safari filled with memories you will never forget, I would recommend you ask for Simon (and rearrange your dates if he isn’t available!). He taught us Swahili, he taught us about Tanzanian life and culture, he shared his family with us. He has a profound respect for nature and the animals he has dedicated his life to studying. He was able to help redirect and engage our kids if they got upset, he made them feel comfortable and confident. He cares so deeply about his clients and ensuring they have the best possible experience and he loves his country and his profession so much you leave feeling like you experienced far more than safari. You get a true sense of what a welcoming, spectacular country Tanzania is. Safari Soles, and especially Simon, gave us a week of memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. It’s also worth noting that Simon is an incredible photographer and took stunning photos that he shared (including some wonderful shots of our family!) which allowed us to just enjoy the experience without worrying about taking pictures. We will never forget the awe on our son’s faces, or the number of times they said “this is incredible.” They rated this trip a one million out of ten and we couldn’t agree more.
