Senderismo en la cascada del Río Celeste - Cascada de los Llanos del Cortés y observatorio de perezosos
Descripción
Caminata al río Celeste es la vista de un fenómeno natural inusual donde el río y sus rocas de repente se vuelven de color azul claro debido a los minerales arrastrados por el suelo hacia el río. Estos minerales son el resultado de la ubicación de los ríos en los costados del volcán inactivo Tenorio y los respiraderos restantes de las profundidades del volcán. Luego seguiremos el río río abajo para un refrescante encuentro con una enorme cascada que se derrama por los lados del volcán. Aventúrese fuera del camino tradicional hacia la espectacular ¨ Cascada Llanos de Cortez ¨. Esta cascada aislada se extiende 30 pies de alto y 40 pies de ancho y cae en cascada en un estanque de arena blanca. Disfrute de la natación, el senderismo o simplemente relajarse.

We couldn’t have had a better time on our adventure with Guanacaste Adventure & Travel. Wilmar thoroughly entertained us on the drive between sites with engaging stories about various landmarks and daily life in Costa Rica. On our hike to the beautiful Rio Celeste waterfall, he was exceptionally knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. He then brought us to a wonderful wildlife preserve, where the local site guide helped us spot red-eyed tree frogs, poison dart frogs, an eyelash viper, a tapir, two sloths, and a toucan. Afterward, Wilmar treated us to a delicious, traditional lunch of pollo casado at a charming local restaurant, before finishing the perfect day with a swim at the stunning Llanos de Cortes cascade. Wilmar is an excellent driver and an expert naturalist who coordinates a flawless itinerary. We highly recommend Guanacaste Adventure & Travel!

Wow, what a great day. Wilmar is a great tour guide and I would recommend him to anyone that travels to the area. Our first stop was the sloth observatory, where we saw a lot of different flora and fauna and lots of wildlife. We were also very lucky to see a baby sloth up close. Second we went to tenorio national park. Wilmar guided us round the national park showing us different snakes, insects, tarantula holes and amazing things in the national park. We went down to rio celeste waterfall which was beautiful, although it was raining it still had a good blue coloured tint to the water. Finally our last stop was a waterfall swim back to the hotel. The water was cold, so we didn't swim but it was very picturesque. Thank you Wilmar for a great day and I hope more people get to experience your hospitality on the tours you provide.

Excellent tour for all ages. Wilmar was a fantastic guide who made quick adjustments to the pick-up location / time because we had an emergency. He was an excellent guide, and pointed out wildlife on our hike to the waterfall. The waterfall was magnificant. The staff at the sloth sanctuary were great with our grandchildren (8 and 9) and showed them lots of wildlife. We would enthusiastically recommend the tour ……and Wilmar!!

Wonderful excursion! My daughter and I loved it! Wilmar is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable and we felt safe with him all day. The waterfalls and trails are beautiful. We loved seeing the wildlife and rainforest. Would definitely recommend!
