Sometimes the map is a bit hard to follow. Pictures are included to help you find the things that you may have overlooked. It’s easy to bypass those things that you don’t wanna spend time with and just listen to the pieces on your mobile phone. lots of stops and lots of good information. You work at your own pace rather than following a tour guide at their pace.
Once we figured out how the audio map worked and were able to follow it, the tour was very good and informative. Saw some nice parts of old town. But getting started in the right location was difficult.
Dear Brent, thank you for your feedback back! It is sad to hear that you had some difficulties, as we are always happy to help. We always leave our contact number in confirmation message you get after booking(with info on how to download). In case of difficulties you can text/call (also on WhatsApp) us and ask questions if something unclear. For navigation in this App you can choose between Standard map or Apple Maps or Google maps, depending on what is you used for. Location of the first step is also mentioned as start point on this tour description. Of course, to be able to use self-guided tours with App some basic skills of using cell-phone and maps on sell phone is necessary. We are happy to hear that you was able to see nice parts of the town and get information (provided by professional tour guide). Wish you a nice trip in Europe, Best wishes Anna
Excellent tour taking us to places we hadn't been before in Salzburg and explaining the history of many places. Also plenty of opportunities to break the tour to eat or shop and then rejoin it. Instructions were clear and easy to follow although I did struggle with the system of getting it onto my phone but that is probably due to my age and not being technically minded. It was nice to be able to do this tour at our own pace instead of in a group. The recommendation at the end to walk around to the cafe Stadtalm was well worth it.
Dear Raymond, thank you very much for this lovely review! We are happy that you have enjoyed our tour! For those who will read it in future -If you struggle with the technology - please text to us. You will find contact details in massage we will send you after you have booked the tour. We send it as earlier as possible so you can download the tour earlier and if you need help, we can assist you. Tour has no validity- you can install it before trip and use any day during you stay in Salzburg. Best wishes from Austria, Anna
This was a very easy way to discover Salzburg. We could start whenever we were ready to and go at our own pace. It is easy to stop and restart the tour if you want to stop and check something out. We started one afternoon and finished the next morning. We learned a lot of history and also stories about the town and its people.
The tour did a fantastic job of bringing the history of Salzburg and the surrounding area to life. The recording itself was well done and very informative and understandable
Perfect for a solo traveler. A great walking tour. Informative. Hit all the Salzburg hot spots. Can go at your own pace. Be sure and get the Salzburg Card for free admission to most attractions and public transport.
I absolutely love this tour: I explored the city by myself but actually it was like walking with a friend - the route was interesting and easy to navigate, I stopped in a couple of good places to enjoy the local food and I learnt a lot about the city - but not too many things :) Thank you for a wonderful tour!
It took us awhile to get the gps portion to work for us but once we did all was good. We walked around for 6 hours before running out of battery.
Never tried audio-guided tours before, but turns out it is a good option if you want to have a tour "on your own" and yet still with someone "taking care" of you if you feel it necessary. Thanks Anna for a structured information, perfectly aligned with visual experience.
