An amazing display of sea creatures and alot of very informative information. I loved the stingrays and the seals.
Great place to visit with family. Clean, well organised and the underwater tunnel is amazing. Loved seeing the sharks and rays. Worth a visit in Mooloolaba!
The centre is not as interactive as the theme parks, it more of a sea creature museum. It's a lovely, very pretty display of sea life up close where you and the kids can marvel at the beauty and elegance of nature. The experience only takes a couple of hours in a nice clean and cool atmosphere. Staff are helpful, friendly and welcoming. Overall its worth the cost for the experience. Ps. Loved the 3d/mask interaction.
Interesting displays but the VR experience had technical difficulties so had to request a refund (still to be received). If you are not a fan of loads of screaming hyperactive children, avoid the school holidays - walkways mostly narrow with bottlenecks, so no way to avoid being buffeted by waves of under 8s who were not going to let anyone get between them and each exhibit.
The aquarium visit - this is one I would recommend for anyone who has not been close to fish - very close - almost symbiotic
Came here on a weekday morning, averagely busy in addition to lots of school kids. Was able to get a car spot nearby. The aquarium wasn’t too cold but still wore a light jacket indoor. Entry price not too bad. We tried the VR shark experience, however, shame this was included in the entry. The penguin show was good. The only negative was the cafe. The cheese I brought was all mouldy. There is lots of restaurants next to the harbour for same price.
A very well presented aquarium with lots of things to view. The penguin show and seal show were both entertaining and educational. We did a behind the scenes tour which was terrific. Book ahead for a discount and to ensure you get in.
It’s not outstanding but it is worth going. The seal show is short but good fun. The tunnel is great viewing sharks, rays and fish up close
Ridiculously expensive for a place my family could walk through in under 20 minutes easily. The food was extraordinary prices and can say with utter certainty that a Bunnings snag tasted better than what was served. The gift shop felt like we were rushed through and for a $200+ day trip including tickets we left after viewing everything they had to offer in under 2 hours and that included stopping to eat. The only thing they could touch was a slug and starfish very underwhelming experience and more of a money grabbing experience in my opinion.
Had been a very long time since we visited last time with our kids and we returned this time with our two grandsons it was a really nice day loved the Kelly fish and the seals. We think it could do with a little bit of a upgrade especially the cafe But overall the kids had a lovely day and we will visit again.
