This was a very personal tour in as much as Faruk has lived through the war as a young teenager and was able to share his personal experiences. I was deeply affected by his descriptions of that time and gained an understanding of the geography of the area and how it was used to surround the city. All of the places we visited were interesting and thought provoking. It wasn't all serious stuff as Faruk is a genuinely friendly man with a good sense of humour and is intelligent and knowledgeable. I would book his tours again if I come back.
WE loved the whole experience. Faruk knew all. His local and history knowledge was outstanding and interesting. He was only too happy to adjust our starting time etc to suit. Had an excellent day.
Faruk was super knowledgeable + he has a great sense of humour. The tour blew our minds totally. He shared so many stories and you will see Sarajevo in a totally different light after the tour ends. If you want to go on a tour of Sarajevo and Bosnia, Faruk is the guy to go with. He was super patient and never hurried us. Even our 3 year old felt comfortable with him. The vehicles he used were all super comfy.
What can I say about Faruk; really top guy with top knowledge about Bosnia As a teenager living through the siege, he really could share every detail of 1993 to 1995 Accomodated us(2 adults, 2 elderly and 1 toddler) like we were his family. Balkan or Bosnian tour? Faruk and Superb Adventure is the correct choice to make!
We took the day tour in Sarajevo with Faruk and were very impressed. Taking a tour with someone who grew up in the city and experienced the war first hand was a very overwhelming experience emotionally. Faruk added personal stories at every stop, which added a lot to the overall experience. Also, he showed us a few nice places for food and coffee. I would highly recommend taking this tour instead of any of the walking tours in the old town. Being able to take a vehicle up to the Serbian vantage points really puts into perspective what the people of Sarajevo were fighting against. If we come back to the Balkans, I will try to book a multiday tour with Faruk.
It was memorable and emotional day with Faruk. It was only two us on tour, me and my boyfriend and we wanted one of kind way to learn about Sarajevo and Bosnia history. When we contact with Faruk and reserve Siege tour, it was planed that we spend only 4h on tour visiting tunnel of hope, war lines and Bobsled track. But we got much more and start of tour it begin with beatiful view at hole valley of Sarajevo and good cup of coffee. We just lost all sent how quick time pass and by the end of tour above on Trebevic mountain we realized that spent 6h and it was perfact. Rest of the day we spend together on lunch and coffee meet Faruks friends which it was extra bonus for to have chance to be with people who survived the longest siege in history of Europe. I can't recommend this tour enough u just have to go and see it by your self.
