El arte no es lo primero que nos viene a la mente cuando pensamos en Bosnia y Herzegovina y Sarajevo, pero les aseguramos que Sarajevo tiene una de las mejores escenas artísticas de la región. En este recorrido visitaremos algunos lugares en Sarajevo que están relacionados con el arte conceptual y contemporáneo, hablamos con artistas locales y curadores de arte. El arte conceptual es una dirección en el arte moderno desde principios de la década de 1960 hasta mediados de la de 1970. Surgió como el deseo de un artista de desmaterializar el tema de la actividad artística, utilizando obras de arte y materiales no tradicionales (polaroid, arte, cine, video, arte corporal, acontecimientos, acción urbana). ¡Únete a nosotros en este increíble recorrido! Comenzamos todos los días a la 1 p. m., excepto los domingos, frente a nuestra colorida oficina y agencia de viajes.

La galería de arte contemporáneo Brodac está ubicada en un edificio antiguo que tiene una historia y un alma. Solía ser una prisión durante la ocupación austrohúngara. Ahora se convierte en un lugar acogedor donde se puede visitar la exposición de arte contemporáneo de Bosnia de vez en cuando. También sirven una increíble cerveza artesanal local Gelender.
Ferhadija corre de oeste a este, desde Vječna Vatra hasta el punto donde se encuentra con la calle Titova, hasta llegar a la calle Gazi Husrev-Begova, donde luego se convierte en la calle Sarači y continúa hacia el este. En la calle Ferhadija veremos las Rosas de Sarajevo, una cicatriz de concreto causada por la explosión de un proyectil de mortero que luego se llenó con resina roja. Las rondas de mortero que aterrizan en el concreto crean un patrón de fragmentación único que parece casi floral en su disposición. Debido a que Sarajevo fue un sitio de intensa guerra urbana y sufrió miles de explosiones de proyectiles durante el Sitio de Sarajevo, los marcados patrones de concreto son una característica única de la ciudad.
Ubicada justo en el centro de la ciudad, la Galería Java (Titova 21) ha desempeñado un papel importante en la afirmación y la construcción de la escena de arte contemporáneo de Sarajevo, al brindar a los artistas la oportunidad de presentar su trabajo en un espacio de exhibición muy atractivo. La galería se dedica en gran medida a apoyar y promocionar tanto a los artistas internacionales como a los de Bosnia y Herzegovina, así como a colaborar estrechamente con artistas que trabajan en diversos medios artísticos y representan la escena artística contemporánea.
En uno de los parques más famosos de Sarajevo veremos una escultura del artista y escultor de BH Mensud Kečo, una escultura dedicada al genocidio en Srebrenica. Es la escultura ‘Nermine, dođi’, hecha de concreto, barras de refuerzo, plástico y silicio, que representa la fotografía documentada más perturbadora de Srebrenica al artista.

An excellent tour and new perspectives on Sarajaevo and the street art scene. I highly recommend it.
This is an exceptional tour. Extremely rich and informative. It is about street art, with all its rituals, customs, famous artists, festivals. But not only. It covers architecture, with the highlights of Turkish and Austro-Hungarian buildings around the city. But also Bosnian traditions, the bazar, the Latin Bridge, some beautiful galleries. The guide is well informed on many subjects and his mastery of English is exceptional. Plus he guides you with a great smile. I truly enjoyed this tour. Would recommend it to everybody. If you are not interested in art, do it. You will see what you have missed.
One of the best tours we’ve had in this part of the Europe. Mak is an excellent guide. His passion for Sarajevo’s history and culture really shows. 100% recommendation to everyone. I went on a tour with my teenage son and we had a great time. We even got introduced to some local artists and craftsmen which was super cool!
The guide, Adnan, was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He shared a lot of information both about the art and the artists and also about the Bosnian history and people. Even though some galleries were closed, we had no problem filling the day with beautiful art and interesting information.
I like the arts trip a lot, you will find many hidden arts places in this city in this tour. Mak is a super nice and knowledgeable guide, he will share not only the history but also his own experiences during the war. He is always helping with any questions. Enjoyed this Tour thorugh sarajevos Hidden places i would have never know without Alan. He Is A street artist himself and had great knowledge about bosnias time after the war in the late 90's and the role of street art in that time And nowadays. Our last stop was the National Gallery, an interesting Art collection. Definetly recommend It.
Just spent last week with this great group of people in Art and Tours visiting Sarajevo with my girlfriend. We did and amazing street art tour where the tour gides tought us a lot about street art in Sarajevo and Sarajevo culture in general.
