La primera parada del día es una breve visita a Konjic, un lugar único, habitado prehistóricamente desde el que comienza Herzegovina, famoso por el Puente Viejo de 6 arcos del siglo XVII y una introducción perfecta al río Neretva verde esmeralda. Nuestro viaje continúa hacia el restaurante famoso por su pastel casero. La opción vegetariana está disponible.
Mostar ha sido conocido por sus antiguas casas turcas y el Puente Viejo, Stari Most, por el cual recibe su nombre. La parte histórica de Mostar es el resultado de la interacción entre los fenómenos naturales y la creatividad humana a lo largo de un largo período histórico. La arquitectura aquí presentaba un símbolo de tolerancia: una vida compartida de musulmanes, cristianos y judíos. Nos enfocamos en el Puente Viejo, el Bazar Viejo y el Casco Antiguo de Mostar, pero ofrecemos historias de la singularidad y el patrimonio cosmopolita de Mostar
El lugar de Blagaj probablemente recibe su nombre por sus patrones de clima templado ya que "blaga" en bosnio significa "templado". Blagaj está situado en la fuente del río Buna, la fuente fluvial más poderosa, limpia y potable de Europa, asentada bajo unos pocos cientos de metros de rocas y tekke (tekija o monasterio derviche) del siglo XVI. El monasterio Tekke o Dervish es el único ejemplo sacro-residencial de la arquitectura islámica en Bosnia y Herzegovina, que fue construido con elementos de la arquitectura otomana y el estilo mediterráneo. Una de las mejores partes de nuestro viaje es el almuerzo a orillas del río Buna, a pocos kilómetros de Blagaj. Bajo la sombra, mientras escucha el sonido del río, recomendamos tener una trucha local con el tradicional "smokvara" del desierto.
Con el estómago lleno, continuamos hacia el hermoso pueblo fortificado de piedra medieval y otomano Počitelj. A nuestra llegada, tomamos una caminata fácil hacia Kula, un fuerte en forma de silo que domina el pueblo desde la cima de la colina. Solía albergar vigilantes y militares como guardia contra posibles intrusiones del valle de Neretva.

September 8, 2025 My husband and I were picked up at 8:00am (right on time!) from our hotel in Sarajevo for our trip to Spilt, Croatia. Faris, our tour guide/driver was professional, knowledgeable, kind - an overall top notch tour guide. The knowledge Faris shared with us could not have been presented better. We enjoyed our day and each stop we made along the way - Konji, Mostar and a lovely lunch with Faris along the river, the monastery and rock formations, the ancient fortresses and Kraviche Falls. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our guide, Adnan, was knowledgeable, interesting, and such a great conversationalist! It actually exceeded my expectations, and we both felt that this has been a highlight in our Euro trip (we have travelled from the West to East). We had the most amazing time and a wonderful driver/host giving us a great impression on the beautiful scenery and sights of Bosnia and actually mostly Herzegovina, topped by an amazing lunch on fresh trout near a beautiful waterfall paired with lots of information on distant and recent history paired with a personal touch.
