Be ready for a wild experience. The description of the booking did not really cover the extent of how the trip really was. You get on one bus to then get on another bus and then eventually after a couple hours make it on a very small speedboat, which takes you to the island. It was controlled chaos throughout the whole day, but I do think it was a lot of fun and I’m glad that we did it. The speedboat was extremely rough and there’s very little English speaking people so be prepared for that. A lot of confusion throughout the day but after about 12 1/2 hours, we made it back safe to our resort. Only negative was that after all that travel we only got to be on the beach for about two hours. But I would recommend this group in this trip.

Depending where your staying at this could be a 12-13 hour day. Travel was 6 hours round trip. It was fun but unorganized.

Chaotic and overcrowded from start to finish. Long queues, rude and rushed guides, poor food, filthy toilets and hardly any starfish. Definitely not the peaceful island experience advertised and not worth the money.
Best of Punta Cana! The buggy tour was pure fun, the River Cave stunning, Macau Beach beautiful and the day in Saône Island with catamaran was dreamed of.
A complete excursion that has everything. Adventure with the buggies, exploration in the River Cave, beauty in Playa Macau, and then party by catamaran towards Saône Island. Perfect!
Amazing combination of activities. We enjoyed the extreme buggy tour, the River Cave and the beautiful Macau beach to the full. Saône Island fell in love with us and the catamaran was pure fun.
A super complete package. The adrenaline-filled buggies, magical River Cave and spectacular Macau Beach. Afterwards, Saône Island was a paradise and the catamaran party an unforgettable experience.
The ppl and culture are amazing attentive such a positive vibe we felt safe from beginning to end this is must do island is beautiful and clean can’t wait to do again we were with the banana guy and his crew loved loved
A fantastic experience, which we can warmly recommend. Especially the sailing trip to Saona with Caribbean music and drinks on board. However, the buffet on the island was not brilliant. A wonderful experience on our way home in the speedboat, where we had a 1/2 hour in the “natural pool” in the Caribbean Sea.
Best experience, I ever had. Catamaran party, food, and tour guide Black Banana and other members of boat crews are very friendly and cheerful. I would strongly recommend this trip, if you are planning to go Saona Island in Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
