It’s a long day with lots of travelling and at times that’s frustrating. The catamaran on way over was nice, but loud music which we don’t mind but some people might not like it. It’s quite a long ride and was a bit choppy so was getting sprayed by the sea but was a hot day so not bothersome. There was unlimited rum n coke or soft drinks on way over and also on Saona island. It was 2 hours on Saona island which after a quick buffet lunch which was ok left you about 90 mins before were getting sorted to come back. On way back was a speedboat so much quicker but also getting sprayed a lot. Then another long transfer back to hotel. You stop on way out there at lagoon which 4 feet deep and nice water but soooo busy. You also stop at souvenir shop on way to Bayahíbe docks to get on boat. All in all was a nice day but we went years ago and it was far less crowded and now feels very much like a tourist trap with everyone packed in. We wouldn’t do it again if went back to dom rep. Was well organised for the most part and the crew etc. were nice.
Very nice day, however the description could be improved! The majority of the activity is catamaran, 30 min to the natural pool just and 1 hour free in Saona after the meal. Speedboat return that was not mentioned and that surprised us pleasantly for some and less for our casserole that is afraid of boats. The animation was correct but we lacked a lot of information about the time we had free or how the pickup would be done for the return. We waited 45 min in a small park without anyone to tell us what was going on. We had a beautiful day, the scenery is breathtaking the walk is entertaining although much longer than anticipated (2h + catamaran) for 1h45 in Saona. The meal was good but again with a terrible lack of organization. Only rum and coke is included, nothing else to drink except water or you have to pay. I'm not sure I would do it again as it is, I would probably choose a more intimate and established excursion.
Too many people on boat little kids and people smoking .. could hardly understand tour guide . Although when we pulled him aside he was better to understand

I'm not sure why anyone would give this tour 4 or 5 stars for anything other than the beauty of the island. From the get go everything went wrong. We were told our pickup time in front of our resort, 7:10am. No one answered the phone when we called repeatedly to find out where our ride was. Finally at 7:45 a rickety van showed up and herded is in. They then drove us to a gas station and told us to follow them as we were switching vehicles. Well, that was a total clusterf*** and took almost an hour to find us space on a bus. Finally we take off and arrive about an hour later to the docks. When I say it was crowded there, I mean wall to wall people and vehicles. I have never seen such chaos. We were herded like cattle down to a tiny beach along with every other tour company and made to stand there for half an hour while they waited to get us wrist bands. The reason I booked this tour was it was supposed to be maximum of 15 people. Well, our poor tour guide was looking after 80+ people!! We stood there in direct sunlight for a long time before they said our boat was ready. Expecting a large vessel with that many people, I was shocked when we got herded onto small speedboats that had 2 seats on each side, so seating max 40 people squished together as the seats were lucky to hold 1.5 bums, definitely not 2. At NO time did they stop for us to see starfish as they state in their advertisement. This tour company is a joke. The ride to the island was uneventful and we enjoyed the sights. They stopped at some shallow water and let us swim/drink for half an hour but told us we could NOT go on the beach. Very weird. Back onto the boats on the worst ladder ever, some people could barely pull themselves up, they really need to replace those ladders. We arrived on Sanoa Isle along with hoards and hoards of other people. We had a designated area to sit and eat. Drinks were only rum, coke and sprite or water. Lunch was something similar to spaghetti in a can, some rice and I think a pork chop? Also a couple of salads that were empty by the time we got to them. Tons of vendors walking around trying to sell stuff, most were polite, some didn’t know what “no” meant. If you were trying to get a postcard shot of the beauty, it was pretty impossible with all the people. We came back on a large catamaran. Beware, they make you board in the water as they can’t bring them to shore. Onboard they served more of the same drinks and played music really loud while they tried to sell you hats and the photos they took. Again, be careful because they switch prices to Dominican PESOS to confuse you!! They will rip you off, so make sure you deal only in American dollars or know your Pesos! We got back to the dock and again, good luck finding your vehicle to take you back. Our tour guide walked too fast and left everyone in the dust. We finally caught site of one of the people from our group which is the only reason we were able to find our bus. My advice, book a PRIVATE tour. This one is a huge mistake.

Boat poorly maintained, poor organization, nothing included on the boat. On the island, all-inclusive is a scam. Bad food and drink only coca cola without ice. Rum, if you like it, just the smell. Lots of people approaching wanting to sell things. Return to the crowded waterfall. People sitting on the floor! Ah, then they served hot coke, once. It was only worth it for the island's landscape and the stunningly colored sea! Returning to the bus is also completely disorganized, with a lack of information and delays. Yes Honestly, I felt hurt, I don't recommend it.

2 words poo SHOW completely disappointed. Trio was cancelled at 7am when we was due to be picked up at 7am, rhen had to chase them to rebook. Bought a holiday to the Dominican for my husbands 50th birthday and this was a surprise trip, 1, the bus ride there was an absolute joke 2, when you arrive at the harbour to catch the boat it’s like a cattle market 3, the “paradise beach” is not paradise AT ALL, over loaded with people and the beach smelt like poo, rhe toilets was the worse we have ever seen. 4, we spent 3 hours travelling to this beach to be told we was only there for 2 half hours 5, when we got back to port none of the tour guides knew what they were doing, they sent us to 1 part to get on a bus that wasn’t even ours, and almost everyone was losing there temper. Not only us but everyone on our bus was not happy and have all send they will be putting in a complaint. Do not waste ur money

The island itself was great, and the food was good as well. The bus for transport was extremely small, dirty, smelly, and packed overly full of people making for a long and uncomfortable ride. It was a cluster once we got to the destination and we were all packed into a speedboat with little direction from the guide. The ride back on the catamaran was nice, but the staff badgered me multiple times for tips even after telling them my husband had already given them one. The trip back was worse than the trip there as they squeezed an extra person on the already small and packed bus. I would recommend taking a trip to Saona Island, just go with a different company.
