Descubre la Zona Colonial de la manera más divertida y auténtica cubriendo más terreno en menos tiempo. Durante el recorrido compartimos conocimientos históricos y culturales cabalgando por los rincones ocultos más hermosos con un montón de ubicaciones instagrameables. Es lo primero que debes hacer cuando llegues a la ciudad para sacar el máximo provecho de tu estancia. En dos horas recorreremos el lado del mar para disfrutar de una vista panorámica de la ciudad mientras disfrutamos de la brisa marina del Caribe, visitaremos los principales parques y plazas, así como ruinas centenarias, iglesias y todo tipo de pequeños negocios locales que expresan lo mejor de nuestra cultura. Al final del tour te sentirás como un lugareño, conociendo los mejores lugares para ir a comer, beber, bailar y comprar. Venga con nosotros y experimente lo mejor de Santo Domingo.

Itinerario
El recorrido comienza en nuestra tienda Zona Bici en Calle Arzobispo Meriño 217. Estamos a solo una cuadra de la Plaza Colón y la Catedral de la ciudad, por lo que esta es nuestra primera parada. Aquí compartimos algo de la historia del parque y definimos algunos de los ajetreos allí. Desde allí bajamos a la Plaza Padre Billini donde compartimos su historia y también la de La Casa del Tostado y otros restaurantes y ajetreos allí.
Seguimos cabalgando y llegamos a las Ruinas del Convento de los Dominicos y al Parque Duarte, compartiendo nuevamente parte de la historia y la importancia cultural de los monumentos. Desde aquí vamos a Regina's Alley y vemos la iglesia de Regina's Agelorum. Subimos por la calle José Reyes y llegamos a la calle las Mercedes. Allí vemos La Iglesia de las Mercedes, y lo que llamamos el nuevo centro alternativo de la Zona Colonial. Desde allí, bajando por la Calle Sánchez llegamos al Malecón y compartimos la historia del Monumento a Balandra Aurora. Aquí protagonizamos cabalgando a lo largo de la muralla de la ciudad vieja.
Primero el Muro Sur, donde visitaremos el Parque San José, Monumento Montesinos, La Casa Del Gorjón y Plaza Pellerano Castro. Desde allí llegamos a la calle las Damas La calle más antigua de la ciudad, y es donde compartimos la información más histórica. Para entonces hemos llegado al Muro Este que corre a lo largo del río Ozama. A lo largo de la muralla vemos importantes monumentos como la Casa de Cristóbal Colón, la Casa de Hernán Cortés, La Fortaleza Ozama entre otros. Al final de la calle las damas llegamos a Plaza España donde encontramos el Alcázar de Don Diego Colón, El Barrio de las Atarazanas y las ruinas de los edificios aduaneros. De ahí nos dirigimos a Santa Bárbara donde compartimos la historia de la esclavitud en la ciudad. Nuestra última parada está a solo una cuadra de la tienda, donde vemos las Ruinas de San Francisco. allí compartimos algunas ideas antes de volver a la tienda.

It is a very pleasant and simple bike tour in terms of physical effort, yet comprehensive and detailed regarding the points of interest visited. In addition to the bike with a basket and a bottle of cold water, the bike tour includes: 1. information simply explained - whether historical, social, cultural, aesthetic, or political, without sounding scripted by AI or a guidebook 2. perspectives and opinions from the guide that invite participation and open discussion 3. suggestions from the guide - either general or tailored to the client The guide speaks very well and clearly; he is very courteous and professional, yet at the same time, it feels like you are accompanied by a family member or an old friend from long ago. The only thing I dislike is that there isn't a bike tour/price for solo tourists, but even so, the high quality of the tour is rewarding, and the guide gave me a little extra time.

An excellent place to explore the colonial area with interesting facts and stories associated with the tourist spots. The tour lasts about two hours, and the guide takes the time to share information about each place visited. The bicycles look a bit worn out, but it is an excellent way to explore the area.
Jordano gave us an excellent tour of Zona Colonial. He was born, raised and went to school in la Zona, and supplemented his own perspective with additional study, and it shows! He included well-known historical sites as well as places known to locals not included on the official map. He also include recommendations for shopping, music and food and sent us a map afterwards with our tour route and all the additional recommendations. We biked at a slow easy pace with frequent stops. Overall excellent tour! One tip is that the bikes are INCLUDED with the tour- no need to book an extra bike rental unless you want more time afterwards.
Wonderful way to see the old town and learn the history of the Dominican Republic! Our guide kept us all entertained with stories at each stop and pointed out locations we could come back to and spend more time later. My family of four had an excellent time - thank you!
