Comience en Forte São Brás y aprenda sobre su importancia histórica en la defensa de la isla;
En Anjos, visite las pozas de marea y la primera iglesia de las Azores. Además, entérate de la memorable escala de Cristóbal Colón en la isla.
Barreiro da Faneca, un conocido geositio seguramente te dejará sin aliento con su paisaje parecido a Marte.
Todavía en el norte de la isla, eche un vistazo a Ilhéu das Lagoinhas y deténgase en la parroquia de Santa Bárbara, donde sus habitantes se enorgullecen de preservar la arquitectura única de Santa Maria.
De camino a São Lourenço, la bahía más hermosa de las Azores, visitará otro geositio memorable de la isla: una cantera abandonada cuya intensa extracción en el pasado condujo a un paisaje increíble: Poço da Pedreira.

Le seguirá Santo Espírito, la parroquia que posee el mayor exponente del estilo barroco azoriano, su notable iglesia;
Abajo vamos a Maia, otra bahía conocida de la isla por su paisaje de viñedos así como a Cascata do Aveiro, segunda cascada más alta de Portugal;
Ahora bien, en la Costa Sur, otro geositio famoso descansa para la contemplación: Ribeira do Maloás. Sus estructuras en forma de pilares son el resultado de la contracción horizontal que se produjo cuando la lava se enfrió. Similar a la Calzada del Gigante en Irlanda, pero más fresca.
Junto a Pico Alto, punto más alto de la isla donde puedes obtener una vista de 360º y apreciar todo lo que has visto hasta ahora (¡si las condiciones climáticas lo permiten!).
Termine el recorrido en Praia Formosa, la playa de arena más popular de las Azores y sede del festival de música ininterrumpido más antiguo de Portugal, el Festival Maré de Agosto desde 1984.

Exceptional! Henry was a spectacular guide, we loved it. We were two friends traveling and it was a whole day to know the best corners of the island. All very nice, highly recommend!!

The tour was awesome! Is absolutely recommended if you want something special. The jeep takes you safely across the island and the guide has all the information. Lunch was simple but just right. In the end, there are even places that can be reached very easily to explore on your own the next day. Thank you for this experience:)

This was a wonderful back road view of the entire island, filled with facts about the history, the culture, the flora, and the natural landscape. The home made picnic of traditional food was an extra treat.

Great day. Henrique is a great tour guide and driver. He took us to every main spot on the Island and covered a lot a back roads. He is very knowledgeable about the history, natural items (plants and rocks) and how the Island came to be. We had a very enjoyable picnic lunch he provided and a lot of good conversation and great information. Highly recommend. If 10/10 is a good recommendation, I would say he earned a 15/10. He loves what he does and is excellent at it.
