Worth the visit - guided tour is recommended

We signed up for the guided tour in the morning - it was a great addition to the tour and WELL worth the extra money. I am not sure we would be rating the museum four stars without the guided tour. Grayson (tour guide) explained the history of Country Music very well. The displays on the third floor that go through the history could be enhanced with signage for the time frame in each display (e.g., 1890-1900) and key musical period (e.g., bluegrass). The nearer time frame displays (i.e., 1970 and onward) did a better job with timeframe. Without Grayson, we would have had a more difficult time understanding the history, and how mountain music transitioned to country western music to country music. Highlights: The Muscle Shoals display (not permanent - but should be), the room with the HOF plaques, the Taylor Swift Education Center, Dolly Parton and Elvis' Cadillac. The staff were also very helpful changing our Studio B ticket time because the transportation to / from the CMHF to Studio B was cancelled. Lowlights. We booked the Studio B Tour, the transportation to / from was cancelled, but there was no credit for the lack of transportation meaning you either had to Uber or pay to park (there should at a minimum been a small refund or gift shop credit or similar). Not ideal. We appreciated the history of Studio B, but found the tour very underwhelming (see my review on Studio B). We wish we'd taken the Hatch Tour instead. Some of the displays were somewhat random (e.g., Hee Haw). We'd have preferred to have seen some spaces better utilized, perhaps to highlight some artists that were represented in the museum, but could have been better highlighted (e.g., Reba, The Judd's, Barbara Mandrell, Alabama, and Glen Campbell, etc.).

I wasn't allowed in with a 3rd party ticket.

I wasn't allowed in with a 3rd party ticket. Requesting a refund for this. Total waste of money.....

Not to missed

A great experience. The Dolly Parton exhibit, a temporary one, was a highlight. The museum has so much to see and to hear that it’s mind blowing. The ticket is good for all day and breaking it up into at least two sessions really allows for seeing and hearing and remembering.

Honest review

It was a very nice experience. The building is beautiful and huge. The Hall of Fame and Museum take up 2 large floors. You can comfortably do the whole thing in about 1.5 hours. If you stop and read everything it will take you much longer. There are also several interesting shops to check out. Any country music fan, old or new, will enjoy this.

Museum

Very easy to gain entrance. Would recommend doing the self guided tour. It’s nice to go at your own pace and not be in a group. Very easy to navigate. What is nice is that once you get the tickets you can come back until they allow the last people in and you don’t have to repay for another ticket

Country Music Hall of Fame

Enjoyed a walk down memory lane. Be a lifelong country music fan. It was great to see the exhibits from many of the favourites and also many of the upcoming artists.
