One of the best trip in Zanzibar is Prison Island. It's really interesting where are so many monuments and places when you take a photos and look at the historical buildings and especially animals. The tour has 6 parts : Turtles , Prison , Beach , Dinner on the beach , Snorkeling, Stone Town. We had been arrived on the boat to the Prison island. Beautiful landscape, trees, ocean breathe. The Guide showed us in the first is Turtles . Is the big place , around walls too many animals , and isn't only turtle - and birds and other animal - just don't remember how they are calling. You can to feed them , take a photo , hug them , but don't try to kiss 😅is can be dangerous. After we'd been gone to the prison island - Guide said about history , after we took a photos and go to the pierce - a lot of hundreds meters under the water is open beautiful view on the city and ocean . you can take a beautiful photo . And the next part is beach , snorkeling, dinner on the beach - The weather was perfect - hot , amazing , hot water , we eat - vegetables, fruits , shrimps, octopus and other delicious ocean dishes . Water is clear, without jellyfish - but , you have to look around - sea hedgehog , fish or something can damage you . The next Part is - Stone town - You have to look at your bag and pockets - people can to steal what they want . Sometimes is clear , sometimes is dirty , smell amazing or disgustedly . Is really interesting to look in this country , How live the citizens .
Great island to discover all the tastes, colours and music of Africa and to see amazing wildlife, flora and fauna.
Incredible journey. Blue Safari with snorkeling , visiting Stone town , meeting with giant turtles in Prison island and many others activities in beautiful Zanzibar.
I tried “all " possible activities in my 5 days there! Safari in Tanzania to see all the wildlife was amazing! Scuba diving, turtles, sun and amazing beaches on the island have taken the peace of my heart. I'll be back to refresh my emotions
Му favorite part was safari trip, ocean and beach walking. Extrem way to Tansania by speed boat from Zanzibar was unforgetable.
I was in Zanzibar for a week and it is definitely worth another visit (or even more). The island is beautiful, the food is good, the people are nice, the nature is breathtaking. Can’t wait to go back to do more activities, meet locals and eat more of the good foods and fruits
I stayed in the makofi guest house in nungwi. The hotel was super nice and a proper zen place. The set up was super cool. I stayed here for 7 days, which was enough to see and do everything along with a few chill days on the gorgeous nungwi beach. Locals were super nice, and would enjoy just sitting and talking to you, if I needed advice they would be happy to help. They would remember my name, and by the end of the week on our nights out I would be seeing them and having photos with them. Nightlife is also pretty good here, if you are looking to party. Parties available every night apart from Monday! I swam with turtles, saw dolphins, snorkelled, cuddled giant tortoises, sunbathed on isolated sand banks. There’s a lot of things to do to please everyone. I went with a group of friends all in our 20’s. But I saw people of all ages and families. There seems to be something for everyone.
Zanzibar has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I recommend to visit the following ones: Kendwa, Nungwi and Jambiani. If you like kite surfing, you will enjoy Paje and Jambiani. There is a strong wind. Additionally, if you want to hide from the tourists and enjoy your vacation in calm, I would recommend to go there. We travelled across Zanzibar island and I can say without hesitation that Jambiani is a paradise. You will see low and high tides, however, it won’t bother you. Because you can continue swimming even during the low tide (just need to walk a bit). The water has an amazing color (light blue-green). If you like being surrounded by tourists, you should definitely go to Kendwa and Nungwi. You won’t be calm here. But you will enjoy the light blue and crystal clear water. Additionally, the tides are almost invisible here. The level of water stays almost the same during the day. You’ll also find a lot of starfishes here! I would recommend to visit Nakupenda island (disappearing island). Once you are here, you’ll fall in love. The sand is white and the water is transparent. I would not really recommend to visit Prison Island, unless you want to see and touch the big turtles. Except these animals, there is nothing to see. Overall, you’ll be a bit shocked by the roads (which don’t exist here). People leave poorly here and try to fool you everywhere (especially at the parking in Stone Town). So be careful. Furthermore, don’t expect from the local people to be fast. You can wait for your order around 40-60 minutes and it is okay. But once you get your meal, it is delicious. Personally, 10 days for Zanzibar is enough.
