We originally booked our safari for Kaudulla, but the team informed us in advance that most of the elephants had migrated to Hurulu Eco Park. We really appreciated the transparency, and shifting the safari to Hurulu was absolutely the right choice. Our guide did an excellent job — very knowledgeable, thoughtful, and committed to giving us the best possible experience. We truly loved the safari at Hurulu Eco Park and had an unforgettable time. Highly recommended!
My friends and I loved the safari! Our guide was 5 stars! While it was such a rainy day the experience was amazing thanks to him! Unforgettable!
We had a great Safari where we saw many elephants. The driver gave us a lot of time to watch them. It was a great experience.
Travceylon Leisure did an excellent job coordinating the whole trip. They arranged the jeep, guide/tracker (Mr Asela), park tickets, bottle of water and a king coconut (drink and snack). They even proactively reached out before the tour to let us know that there were fewer elephants in Kaudulla as they had migrated to Hurulu, so they let us switch tours. As a result, we got to see a lot of elephants. The whole experience was well timed and didn't feel rushed. They are more expensive than other providers, but they arrange everything for you. Their guide/tracker also knew where to go to get to the elephants.
The jeep safari was awesome! We saw huge herds of elephants in the wild, plus some cool wildlife like peacocks and deer. Our guide was knowledgeable and made sure we got the best views while being respectful of the animals. It was such a fun and safe experience. Recommend it!
It was a great experience, the driver was really attentive, stoped to show us every kind of animal and was really patient, stopping for as long as we wanted to appreciate the view and take pictures. The trip lasted even more time that was expected ,due to his kindness and patient. On our way back the team provided us watermelon and water was also provided during the trip. The price was really competitive when compared with other safari programs.
Everything was perfect. As this area has three parks where elephants move around depending on the season, my tour was moved to a close by Hurulu park. I think we saw at least 25-30 elephants and many of them super close. My guide made sure I had the best view but didn't harm the animals. All in all recommend 10/10.
Absolutely amazing!! We booked on the 2:30pm tour and our driver picked us up at 1:30pm from our hotel in Sigiriya to ensure we would get there on time. We had the whole jeep to ourselves and the fun began as soon as we arrived! Our driver / guide Mr Asela was really knowledgeable and great at spotting all kinds of wildlife before we even got to the elephants. Once we arrived at the elephants we were blown away, we had so many close encounters, saw around 250 elephants including a large male with tusks and a 2 month old! Our guide was great at getting us some time alone with them as well as still keeping a respectful distance from them. As we were leaving it became apparent as to why we got there at 2:30pm instead of later, there were so many more jeeps coming into the park from around 4/5pm that it surely got quite crowded. At that later time we also saw the elephants begin to leave the grass area and head down to the water where you can’t see them, which as our guide explained they do every evening - so it is definitely best to go at 2:30pm rather than some other tours we have seen doing sunset tours! All in all I would 100% recommend this tour, they just got everything right and was worth the money to have such a special day 😊
Very profesional ! Nice Stuff, very helpful. We did 2 hours safari at Kaudulla National Park. Lucky to see many elephants and other animals
We saw a family of elephants about 15 mins into the tour then the next 1.5 hours lone elephant males here and there. A lot of time is spent looking and it gets really hot with the cover removed from the jeep so sunscreen and a hat is a must. We were lucky to see more elephants towards the end of the tour - over 20 feeding in one area which was a delight! There are some birds to view too but not much. Suggest you aim for early morning or 3pm for the last entry as the park closes at 5.30pm. If the weather is too hot the elephants stay under the forest and don’t come out. Such a wonderful wonderful fulfilling once in a lifetime experience and I loved every minute of it even with the bumpy ride! We managed to see one male elephant with tusks from a distance.
