Ales was a great guide - full of fun facts and interesting city information. We tried a number of street foods from deep fried pizza to gelato, some very tasty and others simply a heart attack waiting to happen!! 🤣 I have done food tours in other cities where drinks were included - on this one, we did pay for drinks ourselves at one stop but were able to sample limoncello and aperol spritz within the cost of the tour later. It was a great introduction to Naples on our first evening - thank you!!
Lots of food - come hungry!!!!!!! The tour was informative and delicious! Very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We did this the first night into Naples and we are so glad we did it. Our host, Daniela, did a fantastic job of weaving in cultural tidbits and tourist recommendations while she took us from stop to stop. The food was delicious, our three kids - aged 9 to 15 - all had a very good time, and Daniela was a delight. Also, the tour was right on time and ran very smoothly.
Fabulous experience with Mario, our amazing tour guide. We learned so much about the city and its history, as well as tasting delicious specialities from Naples and fun places to shop for unique gift. 100% recommend this experience!!!
Danielle was very sweet, attentive to make sure everyone was still in the tour (could get very crowded), informative and knowledgeable! Would do again, especially with her!
Incredible experience and so memorable. Our tour guide Tara was excellent. My children were engaged and voiced how much they enjoyed this . Don’t think we could have gotten this much information and navigating the area on our own. Must do !!!
Great insight into Neapolitan food bought to life by Daniela brilliantly. Good information about food and history of Napoli given with some passion!!
Mario was a great host. But i fear we where only taken to the local shops that are gradually considered tourist traps. But i guess thats to be expected of central Napoli. The food was ok but having the same dishes at higher rates restaurants, ex. The Frittatina or a pizza feitta, shows the street food is not anywhere near as good as a better alternative. I usually stear away from places that have foods on show or have a promoter/restaurant barker as they ar typical tourist traps. Those where the only places we visited though. The Buffalo mozzarella was not as moist or great as advertised as compared to a regular mozzarella gotten in a supermarked on the other side of the world. Im starting to suspect that Italiano in Napoli dont care too much about quality and care more about the quick buck. They are proud of their food heritage but at least the streetfood booths do not live up to it.
Enjoyed this walking tour with Daniela. She gave us a good overview of sites as we walked through the very crowded streets. She was walking a little too fast with her flag held high through the crowds, but once we asked her to slow down a bit, it went much better. Enjoyed all the food everything from antipasto to dessert and including Limoncello and gelato. Plenty of food! If you are arriving by cruise ship, there are taxis available immediately outside the gate, but they are throwing prices at you and it can be a little crazy. The first driver said it was €20 per person which we thought was a lot when we didn’t think it was that far. Second driver said 15 per person third driver said 10 per person and that was the flat rate set by the city, so we went with that. Later we found out that was not true. Daniela said we should never pay more than €15-€20 total. The tour ends near a taxi stop so Daniela actually spoke to the driver and we paid €15 total for the return for four people. They do say you could walk from the cruise ship to the Piazza Bellini, but it’s 25 to 30 minute walk and we did not have Google maps for directions, since we were four ladies traveling alone, we opted for the taxi. Still would recommend the tour nonetheless. Daniela was very helpful and it was nice of her to speak to the driver for us.
This tour was brilliant, we were taken around the old town and given lots of information from our tour guide Sara. The food and drink included was great and there was lots of it, so well worth the price. Don't eat before this tour!
