I booked this tour for a relaxed, in-depth wine experience — and it exceeded every expectation. If you're traveling solo or in a small group and want a personal, unhurried visit to the wineries of Nemea, this is exactly what you're looking for. My guide was truly the highlight. With over 40 years of experience, he had deep knowledge not only of Peloponnesian history and culture, but of each individual winery I visited — the people, the philosophy, the wines themselves. What stood out most was how genuinely he seemed to love his job; he said so himself with a big smile, and it showed in every interaction along the way. I visited on a Sunday in mid-August, which turned out to be a quieter stretch than you might expect — many places in Athens were even closed for the season, and the day before had been a major Greek holiday, so wineries were running with minimal staff. Despite this, my guide still managed to arrange visits to three separate wineries (most tours I'd seen only covered two), each with its own distinct character. Between the three, I ended up tasting 17 different wines — more than enough for a full and satisfying day in Nemea. Beyond the wineries themselves, he took me to a few extra stops along the way — a local bakery loved by residents rather than tourists, plus some great sightseeing spots — and even gave me thoughtful restaurant recommendations for my evening back in Athens. We had a great time and learned a lot! Our guide Christos gave us a lot of information along the trip and was so kind and friendly! He also stopped us by a few sites along the way to learn and take photos! The 3 wineries were great and we learned a lot about Greek wines! Christos made the day and the whole trip complete!

This wasn’t a wine tour, it was a cab ride to 3 wineries. The wineries were lovely and we enjoyed the tastings. The driver was on time and was polite.

Long, but comfortable ride from Athens to Nemea. Our driver Christos was great. Each winery is a little different, so the private tours were interesting. Winter is nice because it’s the quiet season. Christos gave us a map and a souvenir book. He also took us up near the old city where there is a nice view.

We visited three wonderful wineries and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The wines were excellent, the service was first-rate, and each stop gave us a deeper appreciation of the region’s traditions and varietals. Just a heads-up: the wine tastings are not included in the tour price, so you’ll need to pay for those separately. A special shout-out to our driver, Christos. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, happily paused at key tourist sites along the way, and handled the traffic back to Athens with calm precision. He even managed all our bags with real care. Christos elevated the entire day, and we’re grateful for his professionalism and kindness. Highly recommend.
