La ruta de Machame ahora compite, y de hecho en los últimos años ha superado, la ruta de Marangu como la ruta más popular. Machame también es considerado por muchas guías como el más divertido, aunque es más largo y, según la mayoría, más arduo. A pesar de esto, la tasa de éxito en la ruta de Machame es más alta que en la ruta de Marangu, posiblemente porque el Machame es un día más largo en seis días y cinco noches (suponiendo que tome la ruta de Barafu a la cumbre), lo que les da a los excursionistas más tiempo para aclimatarse . Un día adicional de aclimatación puede, y generalmente se toma, en el valle de Karanga. La Ruta de Machame también te da la opción de tomar la Ruta del Glaciar Western Breach / Arrow hasta la cumbre.

We had an unforgettable Kilimanjaro climb with Migration Venture! Our experienced guides, Goodluck and Moses, led us safely to the summit with incredible knowledge, patience, and encouragement. The food, prepared by our cook Roger, was not only delicious but also nutritious—each day brought a surprising variety of meals that kept us energized. After researching multiple companies, we found Migration Venture to offer outstanding value for money, and they truly exceeded our expectations. While the hotel in Moshi was fairly average and accepting credit cards would have been a convenient option, these were minor details compared to the overall fantastic experience. We highly recommend Migration Venture to anyone looking for a well-organized, professional, and memorable Kilimanjaro expedition!

There were so many operators from Kilimanjaro to choose from and we did not regret our choice - Migration Venture Africa. Their support was exceptional as the four of them safely guided us to the summit of Kilimanjaro and back to Moshi, where it all began. Epa was Godlove’s assisted main guide during the trek. They were amazing; so competent and concerned for our well-being. They were constantly monitoring our health to make sure we could continue. Juma was an excellent cook and prepared amazing dishes that we enjoyed despite our suppressed appetites. We are pleased with the support given to this unique opportunity. Thank you all!
