Our 5 day garden route tour was great and our guide Vaughan was excellent. He is a safe driver, very kind and with a good knowledge of all the places we visited. He made good suggestions that made the tour even better Would definitely recommend this tour.

We had a great tour with a packed itinerary covering a large extent of the Garden Route, especially thanks to our guide Mawande, who was very knowledgeable, passionate to share stories about the country, culture, and people. He’s friendly, engaging, professional and made sure everyone in the group was comfortable. He also readily improvised and worked with the time constraints. While we encountered some hiccups (not due to Bokbus) such as with the accommodation, Mawande was very helpful and gave us good advice. One feedback for improvement: we only found out on the day that the road to Cango Caves was closed. Bokbus could have communicated earlier to us and offered an alternative activity. Otherwise we had a great experience and would recommend travelling with Bokbus.

Excellent tour covering the highlights of the Garden Route, which is a beautiful drive surrounded by greenery and mountains all the way. I opted for Guest House accommodation which was consistently good. My favourites were in Outshorn and at the Garden Route Game lodge. Our guide Mawande drove us everywhere and kept us well informed about the history of SA and the locations we visited. We opted not to go to Addo and Mawande worked hard to arrange an alternative safari drive more suited to what the group wanted and to keep us interested and engaged throughout the trip. Breakfast and dinner were included and this made the trip excellent value.

The highlight of our 2 week holiday in South Africa. The tour is full on, covering a lot of ground and every day is busy with many things to see and do, with lots of variety and interest (an optional boat trip on Knysna lagoon was a memorable highlight). All the accommodation and meals were of a good standard, especially our last stop at the luxurious Garden Route Game Lodge. The trip wouldn't have been as much fun without our tour guide & driver Dylan Curtis. Friendly, energetic and entertaining, he took good care of us, providing informative commentary but also being great company. The conversation never stopped! What makes the tour so great is the sociable camaraderie on the bus. 5 stars!

In January we did this wonderful 5 day Garden Route Tour. I travelled with my adult daughter and her boyfriend. At 65 I felt able to take part in all the tours and safaris and our accommodation was comfortable. Our guide, Mawande Yengwa, was excellent. Very knowledgeable, polite, punctual and good company. He was also a very good (and safe) driver, which is important, and was flexible where necessary. Every day was an adventure.

I booked the 5 day garden tour for February 2026 and it was a great experience. Mawande was very friendly, very knowledgeable and deeply cared about his guests having a great experience in what they wanted to do and was very flexible - people can learn a lot from Mawande on how to create a great experience. The people on the tour were also very friendly and we had great fun with activities such as paragliding, safari drives at a Garden Route Game Lodge lodge, and the Addo Elephant Park. Highly recommend for solo travellers in their early 20s, and you will are guaranteed to have a great experience if Mawande is your guide.

It was such a nice experience. Especially our guide Mawande made it that special for us. He’s not only entertaining, funny, polite and kind, he is also really smart and getting people travelling with him an amazing and at the same time educating view over South Africa. We saw beautiful landscapes with all the different species, nice places to eat and drink, wonderful accommodations and learned a lot about the culture and history of South Africa. Mawande really took a special place in such a nice group and after those 5 days it felt like we knew each other way longer.

We had 5 wonderful days with Mawande. He introduced us to South Africa and impressed us with his knowledge of his country. We were a group of 8 strangers and at the end of the tour we were 8 friends. Mawande showed us along the Garden Route wonderful places, beaches, and attractions like paragliding and bungee jumping. Addo Elephant Park was great and so were the two safaris at Garden Route Game Lodge. We had a lot of fun together and we saw so much in these 5 days that we recommend this tour to everyone. And if you get Mawande as a guide, then you are really lucky!
