Itinerario
Conduzca por las montañas 'Qara'. En una carretera que sube progresivamente en zigzag por una colina vertical, los rebaños de camellos y ganado son comúnmente vistos en el camino, lo que ofrece una vista pintoresca de uno de los entornos de Dhofari. Deténgase y visite Wadi Doka al comienzo del distrito de Najd (semidesértico), a 35 kilómetros al norte de Salalah, hacia Thumrait (asentamiento de beduinos). Llegue a esta reserva nacional registrada por la UNESCO que contiene 1230 árboles de incienso perennes que cubren un área de 5 km ”y viva una experiencia real sobre este valioso árbol famoso. Además de su olor perfumado, el incienso también se utiliza como elemento reparador.
Proceda a Thumrait Town para tomar un refresco de unos minutos y puede estar disfrutando el sabor de la taza de café árabe (Qahwah) y las fechas (Tamer). La ciudad de Thumrait ha sido un punto vital en las antiguas rutas comerciales del incienso. Prepárate mientras te diriges a la próxima parada de la ciudad arqueológica de Ubar.
Visita la legendaria Ciudad Perdida de Ubar, descubierta en 1992 con la ayuda de satélites de la NASA. La entrada opcional está disponible por 3 OMR por persona (no incluido en el precio del tour). Alternativamente, los huéspedes pueden disfrutar de una parada de fotos gratuita desde el exterior, con el guía compartiendo la historia y el significado de este antiguo sitio de la UNESCO. Esta opción permite más tiempo para explorar las hermosas dunas del desierto.

What a wonderful adventure into the Arabian Desert! Mohammed was the perfect guide as we toured first the Frankincense trees and he even brought me my own bag as a souvenir! The Desert trip is far but worth the journey! I highly recommend bringing a bottle of wine to watch the sunset. Photos were worth the trip.

Sunset in the desert is definitely a unique and unforgettable experience. But also the journey in the plateau that precedes and full of charm. The trip also includes some stops, all spectacular, in the Wadi, at the top of the mountains and sunset over the sea. A big difference in these days is the guide. HAMID was fantastic and was able to give us special moments, just in those less touristy and obvious things.
