Great experience, really well hosted, clean, good food. Host, Ami, was really knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
Kim was a brilliant cooking instructor at Rose Kitchen! We were picked up from our hotel and dropped back afterwards, which made everything so easy and stress-free. We started with a trip to the local market to shop for ingredients, which was a lovely experience in itself. My daughter and I then cooked classic Hanoi dishes together — bun cha, spring rolls, mango salad, and coconut coffee .I’m so excited to go home and cook these dishes for my family. Thank you, Kim!
If you are interested in Vietnamese cuisine then this tour is definitely worth it! Collin is a fantastic guide that takes you around the Vietnamese market and then has the ingredients prepared as well. When everything is prepared, taste the delicious Vietnamese cuisine you contributed to. A delicious Bun Cha and spring rolls with a mango salad. For dessert you have lychees and a delicious iced coffee with coconut. Very nice to do once if you feel you have seen enough museums and other culture!
Was great fun and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. And we have great recipes!!
Thank you so much 😄 We’re so happy you had fun, enjoyed the food, and now have some great Vietnamese recipes to take home! Our Culture Storyteller will love hearing this. Hope to cook together again someday 💛
We had a wonderful time cooking with chef Kim and a small group of lovely people. Dishes were typically Vietnamese and tasted so good. Happy, that vegetarian options were offered. We will try the recipes at home…
We had a great day at Rose Kitchen, visiting the local market and learning to cook Bun Cha, mango salad and egg coffee.
We completed the cooking class with Colin this morning and it has been such an incredible experience. It was such a fun filled insightful morning, one of the best things we have done since we were in Vietnam. The food was so tasty. We got picked up from our hotel at 9 and finished at 1:30. There was 11 people in our group.
An awesome experience! We were picked up from our accommodation and given a quick market tour, were shown some of the local produce, then back to Roses Kitchen to get cooking! Trevor was awesome - talkative, funny, and did a really great job of getting the whole group involved and comfortable. We made bun cha, banana blossom salad, Hanoi style spring rolls (which we think were the best ones we tasted since being here!) and finished the meal with a coconut coffee and plum mangoes. We were a group of 4, who were combined with 2 other couples (so 8 total in the class) which was a good number, and there was plenty of food to go around at the end. Drop off back at the Old Quarter was easy. Would definitely recommend!
From start to finish we had an incredible experience. I learned so much about local cuisine and Kim was so knowledgeable. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
What an incredible experience shared with great friends. Simon was amazing. Kind and gracious with a lovely sense of humor. Class was easy to follow.
