Comienzas entre las capillas arboladas de huesos de las criptas capuchinas, donde los restos de generaciones de frailes forman exhibiciones inquietantes, luego cabalgas por la antigua Vía Apia, pasando por las Murallas Aurelianas y el Circo Máximo. Una vez más, bajo tierra, se sigue por tenues pasillos a través de una de las primeras catacumbas cristianas de Roma, trazando cámaras y tumbas al fresco una vez reservadas para los mártires y los papas. Su guía completa las historias detrás de cada sitio, para que se vaya con una sensación real de cómo el mundo cristiano primitivo tomó forma debajo de la ciudad. A very enjoyable tour of the Rome Catacombs and Capuchin Crypts. Our Australian tour guide was excellent — she was very informative, friendly and attentive, and did a great job of looking after the group throughout. The Capuchin Crypts were particularly interesting to see and definitely made this a memorable experience. The transfers to the Catacombs and back were comfortable and well organised. A great tour if you want to see something different in Rome, and also a good way to escape the heat for a few hours. Highly recommended!
Great for families with teens... history with a bit of the macabre. The catacombs' scale is truly breathtaking, and the bone-decorated Capuchin Crypts add an eerie contrast. Highly recommend for a memorable, off-the-beaten-path Rome experience.
This is a really worthwhile activity to do in Rome! Especially if the weather is hot - fascinating history!
The crypt was a really cool experience! Our tour guide Arvin was awesome and kept us well informed and entertained. We had to use the site tour guide at the Catacombs and I didn't enjoy that portion of the tour as much, but I would definitely recommend the crypt portion to people looking for something cool to see/do in Rome.

I booked this tour not really knowing what it would be about as it was a recommendation from a friend. If you're squeamish, you may not like the crypts part of the tour but the catacombs were really fascinating to see and learn about. Possibly not a tour for claustrophobics as you are underground for the entire catacombs part of the tour. I am mildly claustrophobic but was able to cope with it without issue. Our tour guide was Arvin and he was very friendly and very knowledgeable about both of the sites we went to see. His passion for his subject came across loud and clear. I am glad we went on this tour as we not only saw unusual things but learnt a lot more than we expected about the history of Rome.
