Our guide, Frederica, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the pieces in the Borghese Gallery. She was enthusiastic and energetic in her descriptions of the art. Highly recommended!!
This was a terrific tour of the masterpieces in the Gallery with Salvatore “Sal.” He provided excellent and enthusiastic insight into the works in the museum. We thoroughly enjoyed it! The only negative was that the “Gardens” part of the tour was very disappointing because the gardens are not well preserved at all, and we were not in the gardens at all, really, only on the grounds which are nothing much to see.
The City Wonders tour of Galleria Borghese was the best. Our guide, Federica, was fantastic, very knowledgeable, and informative. Our small group saw more, with greater understanding, than if we had tried to go on our own. We almost skipped it as just another museum. Glad we didn’t because this really is a “must see.” Even our teenager enjoyed it.
The gallery has timed entry, 2 hours to see its astonishing collection. Our erudite guide Lorenzo conveyed a genuine passion for, and lent understanding of the works , significantly enhancing the Metamorphosis tour experience for our small group.
Salvatore was a wonderful tour guide, he knew which rooms would be crowded at the beginning, so he took us further into the tour first and circled back later when the beginning exhibits had less people. Audio earpieces worked great and Sal was so passionate about the pieces he showed us - we learned things we would not have on our own. Highly recommend.
Wow. What a great tour we had. I decided my family should visit the Borghese only a few days before our trip. The only tickets available to fit on my schedule was this tour by City Wonders. I can’t imagine going to this museum without a tour guide. We learned so much and it was the highlight of our day. Highly recommend this tour
Mirko gave us an amazing tour of the gallery. He was very knowledgeable about the beautiful sculptures and paintings. With one particular sculpture, he showed us how walking around the sculpture helped us understand it and appreciate it in an amazing way. He then took us through the gardens and directed us to wonderful gelato.
Martina was an awesome tour guide! Her extensive knowledge of her subject matter, communication skills, sense of humor, warmth and kindness were amazing! We learned so much but were not overwhelmed! I wish everyone could experience the Borghese gallery with her!
What a rare treat it was to experience the treasures of this fabulous gallery with an art historian who is so passionate about her subject. Federica bought this museum to life with her colourful stories and enthusiasm. Bravo!
Our guide Salvatore was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge and passion for the art allowed us to learn and enjoy the peices. He informed us clearly, with insight, with stories and humor. He kept good time to see the major peices. It wouldn't have been as informative or enjoyable without him. Would recommend!!
