We booked this expecting to ride ATVs through the town, but the reality was far from what we imagined. The route took us through run-down areas littered with trash, and the ATVs themselves were in poor shape, ours stalled repeatedly, the brakes barely worked, and no safety helmets were provided at all. From there we were loaded into a car with almost no working AC and seatbelts that didn't function to head to the chocolate and rum factories, both of which were badly overcrowded. The entire experience felt unsafe from start to finish. The one genuine highlight was the monkey park, which was a nice stop and the only part we actually enjoyed. Unfortunately, one good moment doesn't make up for the safety issues and the gap between what was advertised and what we got. I would not recommend this tour.

Our experience with this tour excursion was phenomenal! From the patience with our tour guide on waiting on our disembark from the cruise, to our many questions about the islands culture, schooling systems, tourism market, culinary specialities, and native peoples, it was all informative. I would recommend booking this excursion each and every time you can, as it was a 10/10. Thank you for hosting and having us!!

AMAZING!!!! Jessica was incredible! She picked us up right outside the port and gave us tons of history and information as she drove us around. The animal sanctuary was so much fun. The monkeys will jump all around you and on you and they're so cute. The sloth posed for selfies and even smiled. The birds were fun to hold as well. Then Jessica took us to the chocolate factory where we saw how the chocolate was made and tasted delicious chocolate. We had plenty of time to shop and not stress about time. After we were finished Jessica took us to the rum factory where we sampled tons of rum and rum cake. We bought drinks at their bar and also went onto the back deck and took AMAZING photos. Jessica drove us over to West End and even went and bought my kids banana soda, bananas, and lychees. We also stopped at the iconic ROATAN sign. She was the best tour guide and we fully enjoyed this excursion. I was nervous to book off-ship, but we were so pleasantly surprised and had such an amazing time. My brother-in-law was using a motorized scooter which did prove to be a bit of a challenge at the animal sanctuary as you need to go up a few stairs and a steep incline. The park attendees were so gracious and happy to help make all of us comfortable and able to participate.

This was a very basic tour and hit all the highlights as advertised. I deduct 1 star as I was someone who first came to Roatan when I was 15. I have family on the island so I know a little about some history. These places such as the location with the monkeys, sloths, and other animals popped up as tourism grew. Those animals are not native to Roatan. So the experience is in a way manufactured because all of those animals were imports. The chocolate factory was fine, however it felt like an assembly line. We purchased some and tasted it when we returned home. It was not great flavor wise, dont expect european quality. Lastly, the rum factory was nice, we enjoyed tasting the rum and they let us try anything we wanted. My main issue is that I have been on other chocolate tours, the last one in Costa Rica. There, they had a large farm and production where we watched the process from start to finish, including the fermentation of the beans and what the plant looked like in its natural habitat. This chocolate factory feels like you're going to a regular store in the US that happens to make chocolate. Lastly, it would have been nice for the rum factory to show the process of it being made and in intricacies of rum distillation and barreling. That being said, this tour is likely targeted toward the cruise ship crew who is limited on time and need to check a box. However as someone who has been to roatan many years and have family who live there, my recommendation would be to do something local (the beach, snorkel, Garifuna tour, mangrove tour, ect)

JJ was a great tour guide. We enjoyed the drive and conversation as much as the stops. Of course we stopped at the advertised places and did the advertised things. It was fun!

We just got back to the boat. My son and I had an amazing time. We really liked Carlos. He was great and showed us so many things along the way. He provided us with excellent service and great communication. The operator was very easy to deal with. Clear instructions regarding the meeting place.

This was a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end. Dale was our driver, and he was amazing. He gave us great information about the island, and it was fascinating to be able to ask questions about his life and history on the island. The stops were all very worthwhile. The sloth, monkeys, and Mcaw were my kids favorite. Lots of time to interact with the wildlife. The stops to the rum and chocolate factories were a lot of fun. Don't hesitate to book this excursion.

We had a good time during this excursion! We visited an animal park, souvenir shop, chocolate factory, and a rum factory. Everything was well organized and our driver was every patient with us and didn’t make us feel rushed at the stops. Would definitely recommend this excursion!

Great experience for family. Monkeys were so much fun & our grands enjoyed the monkeys, birds & sloths
