Itinerario
Bienvenidos a Grinda.

This was an invigorating tour through the Swedish archipelago, powered by our small speedboat, which glided over the water with ease. Not for the faint of heart as the ride is fast and there are waves aplenty, but if you are looking for an adventure while taking in magnificent views of Stockholm and its surrounding islands you can’t go wrong. When I mentioned our stop at Grinda island to my bartender later that evening, she was surprised we had gone so far out. The speedboat provides that luxury and I would highly recommend it!
I wanted to take a cruise within the archipelago, but most of them lasted only 1 or 2 hours and did not allow for going very far. I finally came across this excursion and I do not regret my choice at all! Before starting, I would note that the only downside we faced was that we received one time for the meeting (10:30 AM) which was not the same for our guide (10:00 AM). Our guide had been waiting for us for 20 minutes when we arrived around 10:20 AM. I do not know where the error came from, but it should be noted for next time. However, that is the only "negative" thing I would have to say in this review. Once we arrived on site, we received suits as well as glasses to protect ourselves from the cold (even though the weather was nice, with the speed of the boat, it was necessary). We then sailed to Grinda Island where we were able to stay for 2 hours, enough time to eat at a restaurant and enjoy a little hour of peaceful walking. The trip (between 1 hour and 1.5 hours each way) allowed us to see very beautiful landscapes in an extremely fun way! We sometimes went very fast and sometimes more slowly. We could therefore enjoy both exhilarating moments at high speed and calmer moments to admire the scenery. Our guide, Pelle, was also amazing. Very kind and attentive, he provided us with numerous pieces of information about the islands, landscapes, buildings... that we encountered. He frequently asked us if everything was okay with the speed and to let him know if there was any issue. My sister and I were fortunate to be alone for the excursion, which made it even more exceptional! In conclusion, I would say that if you love speed, you will adore this, and I totally recommend it! A big thank you to Pelle for this wonderful moment; we are unlikely to forget it :)
Super experience, so much fun. Really got to see the Stockholm Archipelago and get a sense of what the entirety of Stockholm is all about. We stopped at Grinda Island where you can have lunch and a 2.3 mile or 5 mile hike around to the other side. There are several places to eat lunch, and then jaunt about, you have about 2 hours on the island. Our guide was awesome, he made the boat ride so fun with hitting waves and wakes, it was safe but not for anyone who can not be jostled around on a boat, and gave a little tour of the Archipelago. Loved this event!!
Wow what an adventure! Definitely a highlight of our visit to Stockholm. And how lucky we were to have Adam as our tour guide and captain of our RIB! Adam knew A LOT of local history, pointed out buildings and locations of interest, quirky details, and a true ABBA fan. The RiB, the warming suit, goggles, etc all top of the line and in excellent condition. And of course the Archipelago, stunning! Grinda is small, rustic, traffic-free, back-to-nature, forested island. We had 2 hours to spend on Grinda, so we spent half our time hiking and half our time picnicking and relaxing. Oh and did I mention Adam lol! This is a must do tour!
The best RIB tour ever. Adam, our captain was kind, funny, and very knowledgeable! The stop on Grindr was lovely. Great hiking, food, and farm animals. You won’t be disappointed if you go on this tour!
A trip of a life time and not to be missed. PJ was really knowledgeable guide and a great driver and made the rib experience even more amazing. Highly recommended.
It was accurately described. Guide Adam was delightful, humorous, and accomodating. It was everything promised.
Very fun tour! Really enjoyed the ride in the Ribs boat. We had about 2 hours for sightseeing on the island, and there were some restaurants. On the boat ride back, we had time to go through one of the city canals. Highly recommend this tour.
Adam is a gem! The meeting location changed as they recently got their own slot. He made sure everyone found it, passed out the suits, goggles and caps, giving you an option to not wear if you're brave! The ride was fun and he was great about pointing out landmarks and answering questions. Grinda was delightful and the restaurant delicious. Only wish we could have stayed longer because you basically had to choose between eating and hiking in the 2 hours. The day couldn't have been more beautiful and the weather delightful. As we headed back into the city the weather started coming in, but he came in through the canal which was very gentle. Highly recommend this trip!
Breathtaking views both close to Stockholm and further up the Archipelago. My wife was a bit anxious about the enormous speed that the RIB has, but after a few minutes she completely lost that fear due to the reassurance of the guide, the very stable boat and the fantastic insulating and protective material (pak ed). Due to the high speed, the guide will take you (very) much further into the Archipelago than with a slow boat. The guide brings the tour to life by showing all the places where numerous celebrities live or have lived or special events have taken place (such as the island far in Archipelago where ABBA wrote their hits). Nice to stay on an island for 2 hours. Highly recommended.
