Descripción
Los curanderos tradicionales de las comunidades cercanas usan el árbol para rituales y fines medicinales utilizando la corteza del árbol. Algunas personas creen que el árbol puede usarse para ahuyentar al espíritu maligno. La caminata por el bosque también implica visitar y, si está interesado, participar en nuestra iniciativa de conservación, ya sea pasar 30-45 minutos en nuestros viveros regando y manejando plántulas jóvenes o plantar algunos árboles para ayudar a conservar el bosque. Desde el borde del bosque en la parte sur, la caminata puede extenderse a las granjas de arroz donde los agricultores locales llevan a cabo un sistema de riego para más de 3000 ha de parcelas de arroz.

Peter was an amazing guide and picked us up at our hotel and even brought us back again. He told us all about the different animals, trees and plants whilst the forest walk. He is so funny and his interest for wildlife is addictive and we loved to hear about his stories. He has a lot of experience and we would recommend going on a tour with him anytime. The forest tour was great. It was really nice to get out of the city buzz for a few hours and take some time to explore around the forest, rice field's and see the monkeys! Peter was a really good guide, he knew a lot about the forest, different trees and animals and the lifestyle of the farmers. Very much recommend :-)

The Rau Forest Hiking Tour was really nice! We saw lots of monkeys and special kind of trees and fruits. We also really enjoyed the Rice fields, it was wonderful! You could walk between the fields. The guide Peter has lots of knowledge and is really kind. He is very flexibel and willing to help you. He picked us up at our accomodation. We would definitely recommend this tour to others!
