Perfect service to get you to and from the border, and an extremely friendly driver who gave us clear instructions to be able to navigate going in and coming out of the stadium. Also, the management were meticulous and called us after we returned to ensure that it went smoothly!
Excellent, just loved it, it was brilliant! Every Indian should watch it! The blood simply boils! Hail Mother India!
The flag lowering ceremony at the border is very cool. The Indian side is much busier than the Pakistani side for the ceremony. There is a lot of patriotism on display and parts of the ceremony with the presenter are a bit campy. The drill and ceremony teams are incredibly good. It is definitely worth seeing when you are in Amritsar.
A very exciting, unique experience with our excellent driver/guide Ram. We very much enjoyed the ceremony. Thoroughly recommended.
The ceremony is an unparalleled spectacle that is part military tradition, part rock concert with lots of audience participation, singing and cheering. An absolute must for any visit to Amritsar. Our driver Amrit was excellent telling us all about the ceremony, relations with Pakistan, the history of Sihkism, the local area and so much more - incredible experience on arrival and throughout and to and from the border stadium. Thank you!
Great communication with our guide before hand, pickup and tranfer first class, lovely chatting with our guide about all things India. Wagah Border visit is a must. What a spectacle, love the patriotism, love the experience. Thankyou
The company was able to confirm the time of pick up and transported us to and from the border beating the retreat ceremony in time to get a good seat and the driver offered some tips such as exiting at the end as soon as possible to avoid getting caught up in the crowds.
We booked this tour through viator as it had 5 star reviews from foreign nationals and also because the activity mentioned Guests with Non-Indian Passports will get access to the VIP area FREE OF COST. Subject to availability. There was no communication from the operator and we called him up confirmed the details and also clearly mentioned that we hold foreign passports as well. The driver picked us up at 02.30pm as communicated and we reached there about 03.15pm. The driver was nice, car was clean he gave us recommendations for food joints which is really appreciated. But as soon as we reached there it was chaotic and we were told after standing in the foreign national queue that this would take very long and its better if we go though the normal residents queue as it might take very very long and we might miss the ceremony. This was disappointing and the driver also mentioned that people start the tour at 01.30pm in order to get though the foreign national line. This was never informed to us. we would be more than happy to go earlier given we were travelling with our small daughter. The ceremony was good but was a very rough and chaotic experience for us especially for my daughter who was visiting India for the first time. I wouldn't recommend this tour to anyone especially if you are travelling with family or young kids
Hey Ankush I hope you doing well. I don't know what to say as you have yourself mentioned in your review that it is clearly Mentioned in the booking page that VIP area is subject to availability, which literally means that if there is too much crowd you won't have access to it. You also mentioned it's FREE, it's a complimentary service, knowing all that you booked with us meaning you understood the words and what they meant. The services that you PAID for which are, the Car and the driver were outstanding in their respective roles as mentioned by you. So you got the full worth of the money that you paid. I'm afraid venting here simply because you wanted something which was never Guaranteed/promised to you in the first place is comical.
This event was really something unique. An absolut must see in India. And our guide Mr. Singh was extremly friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect.
Amrit our driver & guide was excellent . The car was comfortable and clean. He gave us excellent direction and was very fluent in English and knowledgeable on India . The actual Wagah border show was fun but Amrit was the highlight . Thanks Amrit well done
