Después del hotel, recojo de cualquier hotel en el área de la ciudad de Bangkok y salga de Bangkok hacia el mercado ferroviario de Maek Long.

El mercado ferroviario de Maeklong son los dos únicos mercados construidos sobre el ferrocarril. Uno de los lugares más impresionantes de Tailandia que la mayoría de los visitantes quieren explorar es la ciudad histórica de Ayutthaya. Es conocida como la segunda capital del Reino Siamés. Floreció en más de 400 años desde el siglo XIV hasta el siglo XVIII. Durante ese tiempo, creció hasta convertirse en una de las áreas urbanas más cosmopolitas y más grandes del mundo y en un centro de comercio y diplomacia global. Ayutthaya estaba situada en una isla cubierta por tres ríos que unían la ciudad con el mar. Wat Mahathat (Templo de las Grandes Reliquias) se encuentra casi en el centro de Ayutthaya. Se cree que el templo se construyó durante el siglo XIV d.C. (el período temprano de Ayutthaya).
Wat Phra Sri Sanphet está situado en la isla de la ciudad en el parque del Patrimonio Mundial de Ayutthaya en el subdistrito de Pratu Chai. Ha sido registrado como sitio histórico nacional por el Departamento de Bellas Artes desde el 5 de marzo de 1935. Este monasterio fue el templo más importante de Ayutthaya y se encuentra dentro de los terrenos del Gran Palacio. Sirvió como modelo para el Templo del Buda de Esmeralda en Bangkok.
Wat Lokaya Sutha, "el templo de la Tierra", se encuentra cerca del extremo noroeste de la isla histórica, cerca del antiguo Palacio Real y Wat Phra Si Sanphet. Lo más destacado del monasterio es su imagen de Buda reclinado de 42 metros de largo, generalmente cubierta con tela naranja. Aparte del prang central, que se encuentra en bastante buen estado, hoy en día queda poco más que la base de los edificios principales.

Good tour, on time, interesting experience at the floating market and with the train. At Ayutthaya, not so many people but very hot. The tour guide level in English could be improved a lot, not a lot of explanations on top of what we can find on the signs over there. Nice 1 day excursion,

This is a great tour. A very long day but we didn't have long in Bangkok and wanted to see many things. Picked up from hotel early which beat a bit of the dreadful Bangkok traffic and headed west to the train market. Air, the guide has an arrangement with a slushie stall at the market and after a 5 min walk (with the rest of the tourists) along the train track, that stall has saved front row seats/standing for us as the train passes. Meanwhile our choice of slushie is being made!! The flower market experience starts off calmy at a families small business which takes us on their boat through the floating market. Everyone helpful, obliging and clean toilets available. (after the huge slushie :) ) Then, after another hour+ driving we end up at Ayutthaya - first off was a lovely lunch of our choice, to give us sustenance for the tours ahead... We visited the 4 sites as listed. All wonderful to see and with the historical background explained by the guide. It was a wonderful tour and the driver too was so helpful and a safe driver for the long, but worthwhile day.
From start to finish our tour guide Aey was phenomenal. In the first half you explore the markets and her expertise of the area allows you to be whisked off to the best spots of the market. She even provided snacks and fruit throughout our walk. The second portion was the temples at the legendary Ayutthaya. She delved deep and provided detailed insightful knowledge at all historic sights. Not only did we enjoy this experience but we felt like we made a great new friend in Thailand. Thank you Aey! Shout out to our driver as well. Definitely recommend booking this delightful day trip from Bangkok.
