Sigue a tu guía en este viaje privado en el descubrimiento de dos de los sitios más interesantes de la Campania. Su conductor lo recogerá en su dirección y lo llevará a Pompeya, donde será recibido por su guía. Se le mostrará lo más destacado del sitio arqueológico, desde los teatros hasta las Lupanarias, para terminar en el Foro. Nuestros guías profesionales le guiarán en este viaje en la vida romana antigua, trayendo Pompeya de vuelta a los días gloriosos. Según Plinio el Joven de hecho, la ciudad había sido enterrada bajo capas de lava, piedras y cenizas después de la erupción del monte Vesubio fechada en el 79 d.C. Más de 2000 años después, casas, teatros, tiendas, restaurantes antiguos, panaderías y templos vuelven a la luz, lo que nos da la oportunidad de apreciar el antiguo esplendor de esta ciudad. Con tu guía entrarás en los teatros, las panaderías, los Baños, la casa de Menandro y mucho más. La magnificencia de los frescos y mosaicos, aún perfectos después de todo este tiempo, le dejará sin aliento, así como la perfección de las tuberías y sistemas de vapor. Luego será introducido en las Lupanariae – el barrio rojo – para luego terminar el recorrido en el Foro, la plaza más grande de la ciudad donde se desarrollaron las actividades políticas, religiosas y sociales.
Al final del tour Pompeya disfrute de un breve descanso para descansar y almorzar y prepararse para el increíble paseo por las laderas del volcán Vesubio. El conductor te llevará hasta la mitad de la cima del cráter, donde te unirás a tu guía experto en geología para llegar a la cima del Vesubio. La espectacular vista sobre Nápoles y el Golfo le dejará asombrado. El tour de Pompeya dura 2 horas y el tour del Vesubio dura 1,5 horas. Importante: en caso de lluvia intensa, el parque nacional del Vesubio podría estar cerrado. We really enjoyed our tour of Pompeii with Italo. He did a great job of explaining the different aspects of the site, making it very interesting and easy to envision. Our driver, Luigi, was prompt, friendly, and also explained some sites on our way to and from Pompeii. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Our tour guide was wonderful for all ages and knowledge levels. Lello (not sure on the spelling) was able to keep us all interested and guide us to the highlights of Pompeii from age 10 up to me (with a degree in archaeology). He didn’t pander and didn’t give us the old stories, but gave us up to date information about what is happening at an exciting and ongoing archaeological excavation. Marco, our driver was also lovely. He told us about the towns we passed through on the way from Sorrento and arranges a wine-tasting lunch for us as well after our visit to the summit of Mt. Vesuvius.
Our guide was highly knowledgeable and detailed. He had a sense of humor and was very personable. We had a great time, both informative and fun!
If you're going to do a tour of Pompeii and Vesuvio, do it this way. Our driver Luigi was prompt, very friendly and went out of his way to book us a wonderful lunch reservation at a beautiful winery in between sights. The food was delicious! It was a great break in between excursions. Our guide Italo at Pompei was fantastic. We skipped a very long line and had the perfect tour of Pompei. Italo was very knowledgeable and we saw everything we wanted to during out time. Highly recommend doing a private tour it was so nice to be able to get such a personal experience at such a fascinating location of history. Climbing the top of Vesuvio was also a great cap to the day. Incredible views from the top and brought the whole story of Pompei together. Highly recommend this total experience!!
This was a wonderful tour of Pompeii and Vesuvius! Italo did an incredible job explaining the rich history of Pompeii and made us feel very comfortable asking questions and immersing ourselves in the ruins. The tour was the perfect length where we felt like we got a good idea of what Pompeii has to offer but also left all wanting to come back. Great tour! Would highly recommend Italo as your guide.
The excursion includes Skip the Line with Local Archeologist at Pompeii and Herculaneum and hike to Vesuvius Volcano come. The archeologist is very knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a great deal about Pompeii and Herculaneum within a short period.
My family had a wonderful tour of Pompeii with our Tour led by Lello the Archaeologist. He presented lots of information abd on a kid friendly level. The whole tour was amazing and we even got whole family photos. I highly recommend it to everyone. The ease of the hotel pick up and skip the lines was worth ever euro. After Pompeii, we enjoyed a lovely lunch with wonderful views before heading up Vesuvius. I will definitely do this type of tour again.
Our tour guide was prompt and informative. She was a bit concerned about us using recording equipment during the tour which I’d brought especially to record the experience for posterity and found disappointing. It is a huge site so of course we could only cover a small area but she did a good job of getting us to most of the spots she covered before the crowds got there. Overall it was an enjoyable taste of Pompeii. Hopefully we can return and see more in the future.
This was an excellent tour. A driver was waiting outside our apartment and took us to the Pompeii park where we met our certified guide Itelo who had excellent English. We skipped the ticket line. Pompeii is too large to see everything but were happy with the parts selected by Itelo and he gave us great explanations of what we were seeing and how it related to ancient Roman life. Next we met our driver who took us to Vesuvius with a stop for a perfect lunch [our cost] and then to the park where you can walk up to the rim. It's a fairly steep climb of 45 minutes for us. After the driver got us back in town. Recommend it highly.
