Howard Neil Crowston came highly recommended, and he absolutely lived up to it. After arriving by cruise ship, he gave us an excellent guided tour of Buenos Aires—informative, engaging, and perfectly paced. We were so impressed that we immediately asked if he was available for another tour a few days later to the Tigre Delta. Once again, it was an outstanding experience. Howard is knowledgeable, professional, and a genuinely great guide. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone visiting Buenos Aires.
Howard was absolutely amazing! He has lived in BA for over 2 decades and knows everything about the city. There won’t be a question you can ask about the city he won’t know. Tour was great. Hit all the highlights of the city so at the end you have a feel that you have ‘seen it all’. On top of that, Howard does a great job of learning little bits about you to make the tour more personal and enjoyable. Can’t praise him enough
Many thanks James for your review. I am glad you really enjoyed the tour.
This is our first trip to Argentina and Buenos Aires. Sometimes when you walk off the plane your first experience sets the tone for the rest of your trip. In all our travels the magic began when we met Howard Neil Crowston. From the moment we met him we knew had the #1 tour guide in all the region. He was generous with his time, knowledgeable about the city (and beyond) and we literally learned so much even before we checked into our hotel. His detailed descriptions of the city, his knowledge of the famous cemetery/landmarks/city history/museums and his willingness to accommodate our needs is really exceptional. We even hired him for a tour yesterday and today! I can’t imagine anyone who’s better than Howard and we’ve had some amazing personal tours in our around the world.
Thanks for your kind review. All the best,
This review is both for the company BATAXIS and the guide that we had, Howard. We had been on a cruise that arrived back in Buenos Aires, Argentina in January 2025. We were to arrive in early morning, and our flight was scheduled overnight. We had many hours to use up but also had to worry about handling our luggage. The cruise company offered some options that were expensive and still would leave us for many hours at the airport. We did some online research at the last minute and wrote to this company just two days before arrival, and they wrote back immediately (although it was a Sunday afternoon just before their closing time). Howard was waiting for us with a sign when we arrived. We had already done a few things in the city pre-cruise, so at our request he planned our day to visit sites we had not yet seen. We had a wonderful time with him, first cruising along the Tigre Delta, then visiting Palermo rose garden, then stopping for some famous ice cream. He was extra generous with his time, and he was a delightful companion. It was a wonderful experience!
I am glad you really enjoyed the tour. Many thanks. All the best,
Fantastic in depth city tour with Howard an old friend from Nottingham he speaks Spanish which certainly helps! He is also knowledgeable about the City and its history and goes to places off the beaten track all in all a brilliant day and catch up can't recommend Howard enough 👍
Many thanks for your kind review. Best,
If anyone is looking for a fantastic English Guide I can highly recommend Howard Crowston We have just returned from a perfect whistle stop tour of BA. We only had 36 hours so needed a general over view. Howard tailor made our tour to cover all the must see sights and was able to adapt the itinerary as we went. We had missed our Asado eve due to flight delays. No worries, Howard swept us up & provided the perfect ‘pit stop’ for lunch. We sat at gingham clothed tables, in dappled sun & enjoyed a fabulous Asado. It is helpful that Howard is bi-lingual & can assist should you need to buy or barter! All round great day with a great guy. Highly recommend
Many thanks for your kind review. Best,
Highly recommend Buenos Aires Taxis. Clara was extremely accommodating in adjusting to our changing requests. Howard who is British by birth but loves Buenos Aires is a great tour guide. In addition to taking us where we requested, he showed us a few hidden gems we were not aware of. If you need a guide in BA, seek them out, you will be happy you did.
Many thanks Kevin for your kind review. I am glad your really enjoyed the tour with Howard. All the best, Clara Boyle
As first timers in Buenos Aires we chose to do the private city tour to get an overview and hit the highlights - so that we would know better how to spend our time over the next few days. What a great decision it turned out to be! The booking was arranged effortlessly on WhatsApp. Howard turned up on schedule at our hotel and proceeded to provide the most comprehensive, informative, entertaining and relevant introduction to the city that we could have hoped for. We covered a lot of ground, were lavished with loads of information - yet it never felt at all rushed. Along the way Howard offered many insights and personal tips and observations that we simply wouldn't have gotten on any other tour. We got to understand the layout of the city, see many highlights and also learned a lot about life in Buenos Aires and Argentina generally. All the way Howard was subtly sensitive to our interests and accommodated our requirements with grace and kindness. We had done some research on the city beforehand and so for us the tour was a wonderful way to orientate ourselves and put perspective on what we had read. But this tour would work equally well for someone who has no knowledge of all about BA. Really, if you're a first-timer, do yourself a favour and book this tour! (And if you're not, try one of the more in-depth tours offered on specific topics/areas.) Undoubtedly one of the best experiences we had all holiday.
I am glad you enjoyed the tour with Howard. Thanks for your review. Kind Regards, Clara Boyle
Our guide Howard, although he was British, was very knowledgeable and informative. He guided us through the city and provided valuable information. He was also very accommodating to our needs.
Thanks, Stan for your review. Best, Clara Boyle
Howard was amazing and full of information. Favorite place to see was mausoleums. Loved the cultural area of LA Ricotta. Rose gardens were spectacular.
Thanks Denise, I am glad you have enjoyed the tour! Kind Regards, Clara Boyle
