Our food tour was excellent. Montse was amazing. We really enjoyed learning about the history, culture, architecture and definitely the food. Her details and stories were fantastic and the restaurants she chose were delicious. We had a great evening with Montse and would highly recommend this tour with her.
Montse was very punctual and started the tour with a bit of history of architecture and style in the Modernist area. She also told us about the creation of the downtown. We walked about five blocks, ducking into a couple of beautiful buildings to see architectural details and beautiful tile work. Our first tapas place was an authentic bar, serving tapas since the 1950s (I think.) we had patatas bravas, jamon, fried cuttlefish, caramelized cheese, pan con tomate, bistec, and sangria. We enjoyed all the tapas except cuttlefish, which was just not our thing. We then walked a bit further to see Gaudi's buildings on the Rambla, where Montse talked about all the features and inspiration. Then we went to a delicious place for dinner tapas. We ordered jamon with pineapple, steak tartar, bimi with mushrooms, pear with fontina and candied walnuts. We also got a couple of desserts, including bombi torrija, which was unbelievable. Montse was great, as was the dining experience.
We had Ms. Montse as guide. We really enjoyed our evening. Her knowledge or art and Barcelons is top. The tapas tour was really good too in term of quality. We highly recommend her as guide !

Montse is a lively font of knowledge on Catalonian heartbeat of Barcelona. The whys and wherefores of the variety and the subtle and sumptuous beauty of the building and streets. The history, the attitudes and psyche of the people and area. All delivered on foot and while experiencing the atmosphere and offerings of two distinctly different tapas bar/ restaurants - and a fouth generation pastry landmark over a glass of vintage Cava.
Montse is the sweetest. She did amazing with our Family and two kids (ages 11 and 12). She’s super knowledgeable of the area and can customize to how best fits the group!
