Our private tour included a comfortable luxury SUV, a driver, and a tour guide. Both our driver and guide spoke excellent English. Our day was tailored to see all the things we wanted to see, including places where we could get the most iconic photographs of Buenos Aires. For lunch, we were taken to an excellent parrilla for classic Buenos Aires grill, the Calden del Soho, in the Palermo neighborhood. The grand finale was a trip to La Boca, which was a total street party because of a home game by the Boca Juniors futbol team at La Bombonera stadium. We had a wonderful tour, and it was definitely a value! I highly recommend this tour.
Mrs. Eubany and Mr. Breiterman: Thank you very much for your review. We were able to enjoy a wonderful day together despite the weather challenges. We were fortunate to experience La Boca with its unique atmosphere, especially with the pre-soccer match excitement in the air. It was a pleasure assisting and accompanying you. Until the next adventure! Lily (Concierge) & Martin (Guide)
This was a perfect way to start our trip to Argentina. It was an excellent overview of the city with bits of history, architecture, arts, and nature. Alvaro and Martin were very attentive, pre-stocking the SUV with all our favorite drinks and snacks (even tracking down one of my favorite drinks). They also found the perfect latte for my wife (Martin is a coffee connoisseur). They made a fantastic lunch reservation for us @ Fogon (ask for this place!). They have great energy and a clear love for the city. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and in great condition. The tour felt like an amazing ride around the city all day with friends. Nothofagus is an excellent company. I made a mistake with my booking, but they were able to rearrange things to make it work for us. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and tour. After the tour, Martin even messaged us suggestions for places to visit on our own (with links and descriptions). Cannot say enough about how great this tour was!
Dear Mr. Cass, Thank you for your kind words! We’re delighted Alvaro and Martin crafted such a memorable introduction to Buenos Aires, complete with personalized details like your favorite drinks, the perfect latte, and securing Fogon. We’re glad you felt at home in their care. Thrilled the post-tour tips added value to your stay. We hope to welcome you back for more discoveries soon! A Wonderful Day in Buenos Aires with Martín & Álvaro We had an absolutely incredible time exploring Buenos Aires with our guides, Martín and Álvaro. These two young men were not only kind and enthusiastic, but they also brought the city to life with their deep knowledge of its history, culture, and local gems. From the iconic pink façade of the Casa Rosada to the colorful streets of Caminito in La Boca, Martín and Álvaro curated a tour that felt both comprehensive and personal. They shared stories that added depth to each stop—whether it was the legacy of Eva Perón at Recoleta Cemetery, the whimsical charm of Mafalda on a street corner, or the grandeur of El Ateneo, the stunning bookstore housed in a former theater. They struck the perfect balance between historical context and modern local flavor. One moment we were admiring the baroque beauty of a basilica, and the next we were wandering a lush, shady park or snapping photos of playful street art. Their passion for Buenos Aires was contagious, and we left each location with a newfound appreciation for this vibrant city. Martín and Álvaro were truly wonderful hosts—warm, professional, and full of insight. We can’t recommend them highly enough. If you’re visiting Buenos Aires, do yourself a favor and let these two show you around—you’ll leave with great memories, stunning photos, and a deep love for this beautiful city.
Thank you, Kristin and Kevin, for your wonderful review! We're delighted you enjoyed Buenos Aires with Martín and Álvaro, and we look forward to welcoming you back for more memorable experiences. Lily
We had a day to spend in Buenos Aires after getting off our cruise ship, as our flight didn’t leave until late that night. We were picked up at the cruise port, and even though it was chaos, we had great communication the whole time and were able to find our guide. The rest of the day was enjoyable, insightful, and fun! Both the guide and the driver were knowledgeable about the city and did a great job of showing us around. They tailored the day to what we wanted and recommended an incredible place for lunch and ice cream afterwards (even offering advice on how and what the Argentinians eat off the menu!)! They had a plan and always kept us informed to make sure it is what we were interested in doing and seeing. We felt that we truly got a great tour and understanding of the city and the culture of Buenos Aires. We would 110% recommend booking this day tour with these guys!
Thank you, Melissa and Michael, for your glowing review! We're thrilled you enjoyed your day with us in Buenos Aires and look forward to hosting you again someday. Best, Lily.
Our guide Martin And driver Alvaro were wonderful. They had everything thing prepared ( snacks, restaurant booking, umbrellas, soft drinks etc.) based on our needs. They knew the history and sports and were able to show everything we wanted to see.
Martin Yankelevich was great! Martin began communicating with us via WhatsAp as soon as the reservation was made (months before the tour) to ask what we wanted to see. He continued his communications up until the day prior and picked us up at our hotel on time in a luxury vehicle. We were touring prior to a cruise and had planned a half-day intercity tour the following day. Martin tailored our tour to exclude things we might see on the half-day tour. Martin took us to the Lagos de Palermo city park, the Japanese Gardens, the Recoleta Cemetery and neighborhood, China Town, the water front with the Woman's Bridge, and last but not least La Boca. La Boca is a poor Buenos Aires neighborhood that has become a tourist district, has many police, has great food and sights, and is a must-see. Martin was by far the most professional private guide that we have encountered in our worldwide travels. Martin provided drinks and snacks as part of the tour. Thanks for a great tour, Martin! Al and Christie
Martin Y was great! He communicated with us weeks prior to our arrival. We were picked up on time at our hotel and taken to many Buenos Aires sites we would have never seen without Martin. Drinks and snacks were provided. Take this tour and ask for Martin.
I had an enjoyable day with Martin. He is a very courteous young man who is delighted to build up his business. We spent a lot of time in the northern barrios of Belgrado and Palermo and went to Recoleta Cemetery and the Japanese Gardens. After all that we really only had time to drive through Puerto Madero down to La Boca. We could probably easily have rejigged it to spend more time in the centre. He will go with the flow of whether you want a full lunch or a quick snack. It was a full day from 8:30 till 5 and well worth it.
Martin was a wonderful tour guide, very attentive. He would open the doors for us, had drinks and snacks in the car as well as very accommodating to our interests. He was a wealth of information. We had a wonderful day and would highly recommend him and this service.
We can not recommend this Private City Tour with Martin Yankelevich highly enough. He worked very diligently by email before we arrived, making suggestions and listening to our likes and dislikes, to come up with a day that would be specifically suited to our interests. Martin was able to suggest a tour itinerary that captured everything we hoped to see and do and more. He was also able to be flexible on the day as time and the weather dictated. Martin had wonderful local knowledge and had great judgement in his recommendations and restaurant choice. It enriched our visit to Buenos Aires, was a relaxing day allowing his lead, while very interesting and memorable. We were truly thrilled with our decision to do this.
