Porta Genova es una estación de tren de Milán, Italia, situada en la línea ferroviaria suburbana Passante Ferroviario di Milano. Se inauguró en 2004 y ofrece conexiones con otras partes de Milán y las regiones circundantes. La estación recibe su nombre de la cercana Porta Genova, una de las antiguas puertas de las murallas de la ciudad de Milán.
Darsena es un distrito de Milán, Italia, ubicado en la zona de Navigli. Es conocido por su animada vida nocturna, bares de moda y restaurantes. El distrito toma su nombre del canal Naviglio Grande, que solía servir como puerto comercial y ahora es un lugar popular para pasear y navegar. La zona de Darsena ha experimentado una importante remodelación en los últimos años, convirtiéndose en uno de los barrios más buscados de Milán.
El Naviglio es un sistema de canales en Milán, Italia, compuesto por el Naviglio Grande y el Naviglio Pavese. Los canales se construyeron originalmente en el siglo XII para conectar Milán con otras ciudades y facilitar el comercio. Hoy en día, el Naviglio es una atracción turística popular, conocida por sus pintorescos canales, puentes históricos y una vibrante vida nocturna en el distrito de Darsena. La "Porta Ticinese" ya formaba parte de las murallas medievales de Milán (siglo XII); la puerta medieval es uno de los pocos restos de las murallas medievales que aún se conservan y se encuentra en la misma zona que la "Porta Ticinese" moderna, pero más cerca del centro de la ciudad (ya que las murallas medievales abarcaban un área más pequeña que las murallas españolas). La ubicación actual de la puerta (en una plaza que ahora se llama "Piazzale XIV Maggio") se estableció durante el dominio español, en el siglo XVI.

THIS was an excellent tour (and we’ve done many in 8 weeks of travelling). This was a standout. Davide was an exceptional guide who used his remarkable knowledge of the world to quickly make our group of ten feel comfortable and connected. Do not eat for quite some time before this tour as you will experience many courses, all very flavoursome and well explained regarding their cultural significance and origin. Risotto, arancini, honey baked soft cheese, some surprise dishes (no spoilers - but worth the wait) and finishing off with two desserts (including the tastiest organic gelato). I was too busy enjoying the food to take photos which is an indicator of what a great time we were having. Walk beside one of the canals in Milan (yes, canals in Milan) and discover hidden treasures to revisit. Davide provides recommendations for your stay in Milan and a place to share photos with your group. It was a fabulous way to finish our journey through Europe.

Elena was very passionate and a delightful host. The food was amazing. I wouldn't bother with purchasing the drinks package as the food tour already includes drinks at most of the venues. The additional cost of the drinks package paid for one drink only.
