This was a seriously cool tour! Our guide was really fun. We did think the bones were part of catacombs but they were actually part of a museum. Very interesting. Our tour guide was fun and the church at the end was very cool!!
This tour was awesome! Antonino was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us so much information along the way. The air conditioned bus was a plus. We would highly recommend to anyone that’s looking for a unique tour!
Andrea was a great host. Enjoyed learning about the crypts and catacombs. Not scary and worth seeing all the different artifacts and history
Alberto was a great guide, thorough and knowledgeable. Crypts and catacombs were very interesting.
The tour was well organized by City Wonders and Alain was delightful as our lead. I had read all information provided for this tour, but somehow did not realize that the entire first half of the crypts and catacombs tour was actually a self guided walk through a church museum. Although interesting, I was not expecting to be visiting a downtown museum that required the ladies to be covered. We had dressed for walking in the catacombs. The second half of the tour was underground in the catacombs. This was interesting, but note, there were no bones and such as all crypts were cleared out. The local guide was very good, but focused on the religious aspect of Christianity more than the story of the catacombs themselves.
Dear David H , Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the organization of the tour and that Alain and the local guide contributed positively to your experience. We are sorry that the first part of the visit was not quite what you expected. The itinerary includes both the museum and the underground catacombs, offering historical and religious context for the site as a whole. We appreciate your comments regarding the focus of the commentary and will share them with our team as we continue to enhance our guests' experience.

Ilaria was great! So informative and a great personality! Our driver Alessio was wonderful as well. Same with the priest who showed us the catacombs. Just a fantastic private tour! We loved it all!

Cat was great. Very interesting tour!!
I was a little skeptical about this tour at first, but what a wonderful surprise! We visited the Catacombs of Rome, the Capuchin Crypt, and the Basilica of San Martino ai Monti, and each place was unique, meaningful, and full of history. Paula was absolutely amazing. She was very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. She explained everything with care and made the experience easy to follow, even with so much history and symbolism involved. This tour was much better than I expected, and I highly recommend it — especially with Paula as your guide!
