El istmo de Corinto es una estrecha franja de tierra que conecta la Grecia Central con el Peloponeso, mientras que el canal que se ha abierto en él conecta el golfo Sarónico con el golfo de Corinto. Tiene unos 6 kilómetros de largo y el punto más estrecho es donde se construyó el Canal de Corinto (1880-1893). Era un punto estratégico y por ello ya se había construido desde la antigüedad (finales del siglo V a. C.) una muralla que se conservó hasta los bizantinos (Hexamilion).
Corinto era una ciudad-estado (polis) en el istmo de Corinto, la estrecha franja de tierra que une el Peloponeso con el continente de Grecia, aproximadamente a medio camino entre Atenas y Esparta. La moderna ciudad de Corinto se encuentra aproximadamente a 5 kilómetros (3,1 millas) al noreste de las ruinas antiguas. Desde 1896, las investigaciones arqueológicas sistemáticas de las excavaciones de Corinto realizadas por la Escuela Americana de Estudios Clásicos de Atenas han revelado grandes partes de la ciudad antigua, y las excavaciones recientes realizadas por el Ministerio de Cultura griego han sacado a la luz nuevas e importantes facetas de la antigüedad.
El Museo Arqueológico de la Antigua Corinto, ubicado en el sitio arqueológico de la antigua Korinto, fue construido en 1932 por la Escuela Americana de Estudios Clásicos que realizó excavaciones en la zona. El edificio renovado familiariza al visitante con una de las ciudades griegas antiguas más importantes. Exhibe colecciones prehistóricas, hallazgos del Asklepieion, y artefactos de la época geométrica hasta el período bizantino. El Τwin Kouroi de la antigua Tenea, una exquisita muestra de arte plástico arcaico, se convirtió recientemente en parte de la exposición.

Akrokorinthos, una roca empinada de 575 m. de altura que por su morfología, solía ser un mirador (Acrópolis) en la antigüedad en caso de una incursión ya sea desde el centro de Grecia o desde el mar. Acrocorinto es una roca monolítica que domina la antigua ciudad de Corinto, Grecia. En opinión de George Forrest, "es la más impresionante de las acrópolis de la Grecia continental". La Iglesia del Apóstol Pablo es una importante iglesia ortodoxa en la ciudad de Corinto, dedicada al Apóstol Pablo, quien predicó el cristianismo allí durante el siglo I d.C. We had an exceptional day trip with Pericles. He indicated he had been in the business for over 30 years and it showed. His knowledge of the life of Apostle Paul from his beginnings to his eventual demise was explained in a manner that made us think he was a retired Professor of History. We would thoroughly recommend this tour and particularly wish to acknowledge the performance of our tour guide/ driver Pericles.
Outstanding tour. Our tour guide was Nick and he was very professional and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to give us thorough and fantastic tour. Also the restaurant the suggested for us for lunch was authentic Greek food and excellent. It was very profound to stand where the Apostle Paul stood. We would highly recommend this tour.

My son got carsick and we had to pull over. Not only were they very professional and helpful, but both of the drivers were helping us take care of him and clean him up after he threw up at least four times. They did not want to make us feel bad or act like they were inconvenience. If anything it was the complete opposite. When I apologize, they said no need to. We are parents and we completely understand. Obviously, the drive took longer, and I felt bad. We’ve traveled all over the world and have done many tours, but they were by far the most professional I’ve come across. They sent a message the next day asking if he was okay. This wasn’t their fault that they were more concerned about us. We also enjoyed the tour and they gave us a lot of great information! Other than the carsick part it was a great day.

This trip was one of the highlights of our Greece trip. The car was very comfortable. Andreas was a great conversationalist, answering many questions about Greece during the ride to Corinth. Going up to the Acrocornith and seeing the ancient port were unexpected highlights. Taking a private trip allowed us to see what we wanted at our pace. I highly recommend this trip.
