Our food tour guide did now show up. We stood and waited, contacted them and support without any help. This was for a birthday trip so very disappointing. Do not recommend.
The tour was canceled due to not meeting the minimum number of people required. Able to reschedule and hopefully will get to have the said event.
I received notification on Friday April 17 that our tour scheduled for Sunday April 19 was canceled as they did not reach their minimum. To make matters worse, they did not refund my money. I emailed them to ask about it and they did not respond. On May 12, I had to contact my credit card company, who fortunately reversed the charge. Very shady.
Food and drinks are excellent with a very knowledgeable guide. Our drinks were excellent! Please enjoy this tour!
We did not go because I t was canceled by the vendor. I feel we should get a gift card or something. They canceled the day of this was a birthday gift. We had nothing else planned. Plus it will be 5 to 7 business days before I receive a refund.
Corey was a great tour guide - gave us lots of fun tid bits about the history of mid town and the places we were going. The behind the scenes tour of the Georgian Terrace hotel was incredible - the tour guide Trevor was fantastic! We had a nice small group that got along well and had a good time. I would say it was a bit spendy for what we got, but what isn't these days? Be mindful if you have dietary restrictions, as these were not easily accommodated on our tour.
I was notified one day before that they were cancelling because they didn't have enough signups. Pure greed on their part. I suggest avoiding this vendor.
We’re very sorry for the disappointment. A few guests canceled the day before your tour, which dropped the group below our six-person minimum. For a small business like ours, running a tour that small would mean losing money after paying guides, covering food tastings, and supporting our restaurant partners. The platform you booked through also keeps about 20 percent of each ticket as commission, which further limits our ability to operate when a tour doesn’t meet the minimum. We always notify guests as soon as possible and issue a full refund or offer to reschedule. We truly wish we could run every tour, but keeping group minimums ensures we can continue offering high-quality local experiences for future guests.
My view may be skewed because we went on an outstanding food tour in Lisbon two weeks ago, but there was nothing special about this tour. There was no real explanation of why each restaurant was chosen and how the food and drinks served tied to Atlanta. The last stop was a chain bakery for desert. The food and drinks were good and the tour guide provided some interesting facts about Atlanta, but we didn't stop anywhere thatvIm dying to see again.
Tour review Started off at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Beautiful. We even got to go inside. Built in 1902 & 1904, this church is one where ALL gather and doors are open to all. Tour guide said he was a little rusty and might need to refer to notes. Of course - Atlanta has a huge history to remember. We went to our first stop - chicken and waffles. Chicken was amazing - waffle was just ok. Also came with a lovely cocktail. That’s when it got interesting. Our tour guide asked if anyone was going to eat the last waffle and when no one wanted it he ate it. We also had a few non-drinkers so he had one of the cocktails, and then another. Next stop was pizza and beer. Pizza was delicious. Pepperoni, hot honey, got cheese - yummy. Again, he ate with us and drank a couple of beers. On the way to our next stop we passed the church and he started to tell us about it again and we reminded him we’d stared there. Next stop we saw Margaret Mitchell’s House and the Federal Reserve. We could have read the signs and gotten more. brunch was breakfast paella, tortilla, and potatoes bravas. It was so good! And…. Sangria. Which he had lots of since there were about five people who didn’t get sangria. On the way back we passed Margaret Mitchell’s house again and he tried to tell us about it again and we stopped him. It was just disappointing. I’ve had a tour almost in every state we visit and none of the guides drank. I don’t have a problem with one cocktail, but come on, your job was to entertain and inform, not imbibe.
It was a great tour, good food & drinks, very interesting sites & buildings! Lots of fun facts about Atlanta. Cory, our tour leader, was great!
