Sam Pang was our guide. We were new to Singapore coming from the USA. He was on time for the meetup and gave us a wonderful intimate food tasting tour which included some Michelin rated hawkers. He also pointed out history of Singapore and Chinatown. You can’t go wrong with Sam as a host!!
If you want an unforgettable taste of Singapore, this food tour is a must. The tour takes you through hawker centers, sampling iconic dishes from two Michelin-recognized hawker stalls. Des shares insights into hawker culture, making the experience more than just about the food. Highly recommend this tour.
We had a fantastic experience with the customized tour arranged for our company. Despite our very last-minute request, Jasmine handled everything exceptionally well. She was responsive, efficient, and managed to meet all our criteria perfectly — from providing a detailed itinerary and quotation to ensuring everything was tailored to our needs. We were specifically looking for a Chinese-speaking tour guide for our guest from overseas, and the guide assigned to us was extremely professional, handling all situations smoothly. Our guests were very happy with the overall experience and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. What impressed us most was Jasmine’s dedication — even while she was on her own trip, she remained on standby to support us with any requests or unexpected situations. Her commitment and professionalism truly went above and beyond. We can’t thank her enough for her outstanding service and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a customized and stress-free tour experience. We’ll definitely be using her services again in the future!
We had our tour with Desmond and it was just the 3 of us. Desmond was one of the best tour guides we have had on our many Viator tours we have done over the years. It started off with so amazing Bak Kwa as Desmond who is a Hawker stall owner himself told us all about the history of these places in Singapore. All the food was amazing and really was amazing seeing how many of these places have been recommended by Michelin Thank you again Desmond for a fantastic tour.
The walking tour was amazing. Sam provided us not only with a sensational food tour, he also provided comprehensive history background to the people and places we meet and saw along the way. The food was great, diverse and plentiful. We visited several hawker markets so we had a great appreciation of the area. A great experience.
Desmond was a great guide , learnt so much about Singapore s history, But didn’t think we got value for our money with the food as the tour started the Michelin star food and places , that was disappointing
Was very underwhelming, tour guide started by taking us to a few places that were unavailable or closed, had to share very small potions and share a bottle of water. Disappointing definitely recommend trying a different one.
Nothing premium about this tour. Was run as cheap as possible with a perfunctory guide. Boiled chicken with white rice was the highlight while you share a small bottle of water with your partner. Try others first - this was bad value.
Dear sir, Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry about your experience and will look into it to improve our service. Thanks
Misleading and cheap - it is not premium food - it is everyday local food - ie boiled chicken and white rice. The cost and the name of the tour suggest better - we could have purchased all the food served on this trip for approx. $20. Instead of individual portions or family style they would give you a bowl of curry noodles and have you share with your partner, but where the cheapest showed most - they made you share a bottle of water - first beverage served at 4 th stop. Guide was perfunctory. There must be better value tours to try.
Dear sir, Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry about your experience and will look into it to improve our service. Thanks
While the Hawkers is definitely something to go see and experience it can be done on your own without a guide charging $100+ per person to go taste choices of dishes that are likely picked not to offend tourists vs helping them discover the various cuisines of Singapore. Rob, Chicken, Chicken and pastry… the guide was hard to understand… and you can also do the China Town tour on your own or book the 6h private Tour which was exceptional and includes the China Town…
Dear sir, Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry about your experience and will look into it to improve our service. Thanks
