My family spent 2 wonderful days with Juca doing 2 custom tours. He took us to the best, off the beaten track spots, provided interesting information, and took the most beautiful photos. I am so glad I booked the photo tour with Azores Expeditions. They are a family owned business and are responsive and dedicated to giving the best tour to their clients. We had such an amazing time, and honestly the best photo tour I’ve been on. The photos were amazing, and Juca is the most dedicated photographer I’ve met on a photo tour. He was giving us multiple perspectives, taught us different settings on our camera, and showed us to lesser known places to take the most amazing photos. It was a pleasure having him show us the island!! We would have booked him again the next day if he had occupancy. Well worth the price and time!

Juca was amazing! He knew all the hidden spots to take the best photos and was so accommodating the entire time. He is an excellent teacher. I know my photographs will improve because of the tips he shared. Juca shared island history with us so we learned a lot about Terceira, too. We finished the day with some great memories and photographs to remember them by. Huge hug from Michigan!

I've booked a lot of photo experiences while traveling overseas and I can say with certainty that my experience with our host Juca was unparalleled. We arrived in Terceira on a morning when the weather didn't look too great, but he adapted our plans on the fly instead of sticking to a prearranged schedule. He generously shared tips and tricks for how to take better photos on our iPhones as well as how to compose a photo and use color theory to make a subject pop. He clearly has a creative eye, and he also clearly takes his profession (and passion!) very seriously. Instead of relying on tried and true locations and angles, he's constantly looking for a fresh perspective, different/interesting sites, better lighting. All of nature is his studio, and I would recommend his tour to anyone without reservation. I cannot wait till the next time I visit and book with him again.
