Recorrido en bicicleta eléctrica por la autopista Transfagarasan y el lago Balea
Descripción
Comenzaremos a pedalear desde baja altura en un pequeño mercado desde donde tendremos una magnífica vista sobre el monte Fagaras y la cascada Balea. A los pocos kilómetros nos adentraremos en la carretera de montaña más interesante construida en Rumanía en los años del comunismo. Las vistas que se despliegan durante el viaje son impresionantes, las montañas que rodean el camino muestran sus majestuosas cumbres durante todo el recorrido. Veremos en el camino de subida, mucho más cerca de nuestros ojos, la Cascada de Balea y al cabo de un rato llegaremos a la cima a la altitud 2034 donde se desplegará un mercado campesino y el conocido Lago Balea. Después de visitar todos los puntos turísticos de interés, seguirá un descenso lleno de adrenalina de regreso al lugar de inicio. Tenga en cuenta que durante el invierno el transporte al lago solo es posible en teleférico.

Vamos a ir en bicicleta por la carretera más hermosa excavada en la montaña de los Cárpatos, entre los picos de las montañas. Comenzaremos a pedalear desde la altitud de 497 m y llegaremos a la altitud de 2034 m, donde veremos frente a nuestros ojos el magnífico Lago Balea.
El lago Glaciar Balea está situado a 2034 m de altitud y es un lugar increíble visitado por todos los que se encuentran en las montañas de Fagaras junto a la conocida autopista Transfagarasan. En el camino hacia el lago Balea también nos detendremos para ver la cascada de Balea.

Lugares y horarios de recogida
El punto de recogida está frente al hotel Capitol (estacionamiento) de Brasov. Puede ingresar la dirección de su propio alojamiento en Brasov y, si es posible, lo recogeré en ese lugar. También puedo recogerlo en la estación de tren de Fagaras en horas de la mañana; envíe un mensaje 1 o 2 días antes del día del tour, por favor.

Andrew is a fabulous man to spend the day with. He arranged to collect us from hotel and then drove us from Brasov to the point where you can start the climb. This is not from the very bottom of climb but gives you a 13 km climb. The cars and motorbikes are respectful of cyclists and his bikes are really good. Andrei our guide was amazing!! He picked us up at or location and we drove to the mountains. The e-bikes were incredible and well maintained. The e-bikes made the ride wonderful and very doable up the somewhat steep climb. We stopped for hot chocolate, coffee and tea at the peak of the mountain which overlooked the Balea Lake. We proceeded down the Transfagarasan Highway which was incredibly exhilarating. I highly recommend this tour as it is a tour of a lifetime!!
Andrei was an incredible tour guide. Very informative on the country/region. Tour date was on October 8, but due to heavy snowfall Andrei offered to move it to the next day. It was the first heavy snowfall of the year and unusually early, so the road was closed to cars, meaning we had the road to ourselves. We had to walk the last 2-3km with our bikes because the snow was too deep. Andrei offered to stay with the bikes whilst I go up to the lake. However, we both persisted despite the cold and low visibility conditions. A well-deserved meal and hot drink was consumed once at the lake. The downhill trip was much easier and the clouds had started to clear up, offering incredible views! Andrei was also able to drop me off at the bus station on the way back. Many thanks Andrei. An incredible experience and I hope to come back one day.
Last summer I've done Route 66 and now couldn't resist Transfagarasan!! Started off early from Brasov and it was 50 minutes before we joined the drive down Cartisoara to Curtea de Arges. What a drive!! Unfortunately I had a miserable kid in the backseat who got alive only when he came across the Bears on the road - we've counted more than a dozen! I've thoroughly enjoyed the drive - just fabulous. Ignore the whining kids, just go for it, it's once in a lifetime you'll get to drive down the Transfagasaran!!
Andrei was an excellent guide. It was rainy and cold and we sadly didn’t get to see much but it was still an excellent day!

Absolutely breathtaking adventure! Andrei was a very good guide and told is a lot about the country and culture during the drive to the tour. He took pictures from us and gave good advices! I highly recommend this adventure! It‘s totally worth it!
Amazing day trip with a brilliant and informative guide. The equipment was of the highest quality. It was a very memorable trip and great fun on the e bikes. A great, fun and safe way of seeing the incredible Transfagarasan.

That was such a beautiful experience. I can only recommend it. If you are in the area, contact Andrei and he will show you the most beautiful places. Communication beforehand was uncomplicated and quick, Andrei picked me up at the agreed point and had a nice chat on the car ride, showed me and explained lots of things, super pleasant. He speaks great English! I was a little worried that the e-bike tour would be too demanding for me (I'm not unfit but I don't do any other sport) but it was super relaxed driving up there. Andrei always made me feel safe. The view is simply breathtaking and probably so much better than from behind a car window. The descent was also great fun! Thank you! Best day in Romania!
