Recorrido en bicicleta de día completo de la Reserva Natural de Lecce a Cesine
Descripción
La zona que separa Lecce del mar demuestra la belleza del paisaje de Salento y aún conserva las huellas del importante papel que jugó esta zona en la historia. Saliendo de Lecce hacia el sureste por carreteras secundarias, llegaremos al pueblo fortificado de Acaya, un sitio mesápico donde admiraremos el majestuoso castillo medieval, las murallas del pueblo y su antiguo plano urbano, aún conservado. Luego nos dirigiremos hacia el parque natural WWF “Le Cesine”, que esconde muchas plantas y aves acuáticas hermosas. Así que nos refrescaremos con un agradable baño en Torre Specchia y regresaremos en bicicleta a Lecce atravesando un paisaje lleno de olivos y pequeños pueblos.

Itinerario
Pasaremos por la villa medieval de Acaya, observando el castillo y su muralla defensiva. Pararemos en la plaza principal para un "Caffé leccese" (café con hielo y sirope de almendras).
Pasamos en bicicleta por esta reserva natural bien conservada, donde quedará embriagado por el olor a eucalipto y otras plantas / árboles autóctonos.
Si hace buen tiempo nos detendremos aquí para nadar, para recuperarnos durante las horas más calurosas y comernos el bocadillo que solemos comprar en Acaya.
Volvemos a la pista por algunos pequeños pueblos como Vanze y Strudà, donde podemos hacer una pausa. Cabalgando por unos caminos rurales veremos olivos, reconocibles por su tamaño y por los troncos, verdaderas obras de arte hechas por la naturaleza. Regresaremos a Lecce por calles secundarias entre campañas.

We were in Salento with friends in May 2025 and booked the tour Lecce-Otranto-Gallipoli-Lecce with Salento Bici Tour. 1 week of great weather, beautiful landscapes, good hotels and good atmosphere among the international participants. when you meet special people by accident! I would call the experience with Carlo and his collaborators this. People passionate about their work, their land and meeting others. We agreed before our arrival in Puglia various trips and experiences (bicycles, kayaks, aperitifs, sailing, beach, etc.) because we were a large group with lively kids! Carlo's team satisfied us fully, giving a special flavor to this trip, like the figs tasted along the rides! If lying in the sun is not enough... I absolutely recommend it!

We did the tour with Giulia. It was just fantastic! A mix of culture, landscape and sympathy. I did the self guided tour. Good bike,well prepared and GPS worked really good. A nice route through Lecce city, the small vilages south of Lecce, the olive groves and to the see. Although, the olive groves are what is left of it, this because all the olive trees are dead caused by the bacteria.

Preparation, correctness and beauty of the places. We were able to reach the nature reserve along roads away from traffic and surrounded by nature. The visit was very nice with trained guides and refreshment attentive to my Food needs.
It was a perfect day to bike. Our inspiring guide Melo appeared to be an expert in nature and food. After a long ride in the suburbs of Lecce and the Cesine parc , we enjoyed a fantastic Picnic on the beach where Melo , chef in natural food, served us local dishes and great stories.
Cube woman bike and Scott.man bike. Scott was brand new. Both excellent quality, also for off road. We went to San Foca, some parts off road. Very nice lady giving advice. I would go there again.
