Nuestro recorrido comienza aquí. Escucharás la historia de la bodega y sus fantasmas. Construido originalmente en 1716, este es el edificio de madera más antiguo que se conserva en San Agustín y ha visto una buena parte de la historia. A lo largo de los siglos, sus murallas han sido cuartel de los soldados británicos, escuela de la juventud y hogar de Juan Genopoly, líder de los menorquines. Y sus fantasmas han decidido quedarse. No entramos, solo por fuera contamos nuestra historia.
Las antiguas puertas de la ciudad de San Agustín se construyeron en 1808 reemplazando la deteriorada estructura de madera. Con 3 pisos de altura, son una atracción turística popular. A lo largo de los siglos, las antiguas puertas han mantenido a los habitantes de la ciudad a salvo de la invasión. Y la leyenda local dice que están perseguidos por el alma de Elizabeth, de 10 años.
En 1821, cuando la fiebre amarilla azotó a San Agustín, mató a más de 400 de sus residentes. En ese momento eso era más de un tercio de su población. A toda prisa, el gobierno local enterró los cadáveres en descomposición de los hugonotes en una fosa común. Escucharás la historia del cementerio embrujado y los espíritus que ahora acechan en sus terrenos.
Potter’s Wax Museum fue el primer museo de cera de Estados Unidos establecido en 1948 y alberga más de 160 esculturas de cera espeluznantes. Muchos personajes han pasado hace mucho tiempo. El edificio de madera en el que se encuentra se construyó en 1739 y se trasladó a este lugar en 1887. Antes de ser un museo de cera, era una farmacia, y se dice que es la farmacia más antigua de los EE. UU. ¡Y está embrujado!
El cementerio de Tolomato es el cementerio más antiguo de Florida que se remonta a 1700 y hoy es el lugar de descanso final de obispos, esclavos, asesinatos y más de 1000 cuerpos yacían enterrados en su suelo. Escucharás la historia del niño que ronda sus terrenos y verás su lápida. Tenga en cuenta que no vamos al cementerio, solo estamos en la puerta.

Information was very limited as what you get with an actual tour guide group. While taking this tour we would run into the tour guided group and their information was more detailed and informative
Hi! Thanks for using the WalknTours app! The tour is about one hour, and provides stories at spots and as you walk. You can go at your own pace, anytime, on your terms, unliked guided tours making it popular for solo travelers, families and those that don't like the restrictions of group tours. If you are looking for that standard guided tour stop of 10 to 15 minute stops with long stories, you won't get that here :). These are meant to be fun, informative and well paced by design. The whole tour is about an hour plus if you do not stop and you'll see many sites in town that many people miss. My family and I did this while put for a belated birthday celebration. We loved being able to go at our own pace, and being able to have a guided walk through some streets that we, somehow, hadn't been despite having gone to St. Augustine multiple times. There was a bit of confusion while we were walking around, though we quickly figured it out. When referencing the Carriage House inn, there are 2 buildings. The first one was on the right, but as we continued down, we realized the stories were a reference to the second Carriage house a bit further down the street and was on the left. Second, the Prince of Wales pub has been permanently closed, and is now ReChic Treasures. Despite those two bits of confusion, my parents and I throughly enjoyed the tour. Also, if doing this at night for a "proper" ghost tour, the Scarlett O'Hara is LOUD. My Mom had difficulty hearing the audio, so we had to go back through that audio after getting the photos we wanted and walking away.

Really fun activity to do! By yourself or with friends! Travel on your on speed is one of my favorites about this! The app was pretty easy to use! Only reason I rated it 4 starts and not 5 because I wish some of the stories were a little longer. But overall I recommend for anyone needing something to do on your own time!
We learned a lot of history of St. Augustine as well as some good ghost tales. The walk is nice and you can go at your own pace.

The tour was fun, Nice to do at your own pace. The only issue was the fact that you get lost and turned around Way too easily. With that being said once you come across another area you wernt looking for the tour changes and starts talking about that location instead of the one you were headed to. So things got a tad confusing, but overall it was a nice tour just gotta pay attention better to certain streets really closely!
Great self-guided tour. After our guided ghost was canceled on us, we were bummed. Then we found this tour and enjoyed doing it at our own pace. So glad are original tour got canceled
I like how he the tour guide felt like he was really with us walking around. I also liked how he said to look up and see a ghost in the window and it was a mannequin. I like the story about the boy named James
