We met Kien on a previous trip to Vietnam and liked him so much that we kept his contact info. He’s knowledgeable, friendly, funny and speaks English clearly. The 1st time he guided 3 of us on a Can Tho tour but this time we booked 2 days with him for a party of 9 in Ben Tre and Can Tho. Our pickup point was in Ho Chi Minh City, D1. The van was clean and comfortable. The driver was on time, drove safely, stopped anytime there was an immediate need and was very helpful with our luggage. These long trips always stop midway at a cool rest stop and I love going to the older side of the shops because it’s more nostalgic in the food is better in my opinion. Since we contacted Kien before our trip to VN, we asked him to customize our trip because there were specific things we wanted to do that weren’t available with other companies. Specifically, we wanted to pick our own durian at a farm and he made it happen! Of course, all of the other activities he took us on were fun and we even got to go to a night festival in Can Tho. You have to do the floating market. I know, it’s early in the morning but it’s beautiful, fun and the food is so tasty. Everyone in our group was in awe of the beauty, great food and had life long memories to take home. One of the reasons why we brought our young adult kids to the rural areas of Vietnam was so they could see how life is in other countries. We were glad that they expressed how humbled they were by seeing the different lifestyles of people in this area. From farm living to living on a boat, Kien will get you up close to these experiences and you will be amazed at the ingenuity and beauty of the Mekong. We will book with Kien again on our next trip because there is so much more to do in the Mekong.
